I'm a classical guitarist and I broke half of one of my nails today. It doesn't totally impair my ability to play, but it's still pretty annoying. What can I do to help it grow faster?

About half of the nail right? I think it will take about 2/3 months, a full nail takes 6 months just take care of it and eat right is all you can do. Keep it clean and try some vitamin E cream!

I just took acrylic nails off and they look terrible. Would it hurt to keep them at least polished or should I just not put anything on them Also I have a little fungus on one of them and mold on another. Thanks for replying.

Ann,
I would concentrate on getting rid of the fungus and mold before anything else. I would think that putting on any topical treatment, including nail polish, would seal IN the "infectious bacteria." You would inhibit the healing process by cutting off air circulation so necessary to regaining your healthy natural nails.

i went on a vacation to america..it was soooooooooo cool....exept 4 1 thing, i got nail polish, i put it on, (i work in a salon n canada-beauty 1)the next day i woke up, my nails felt really weak ..plz hep me sum1

To help it grow faster put on some nail polish that HELPS nails grow faster. On the bottle it will say if it does or doesn't help them grow.

Hello.I use to bite my nails really bad.I stopped several years ago and had trouble with getting them to grow. I eventually found a product that actually made my nails grow.Now I have healthy long nails.The product I used called Maximum Growth and is put out by Sally Hansen.It is a good
product maybe it will help you.Also to help prevent breakage of the nails I use a hydrating base coat,keep nails at a reasonible length and keep them polished to protect them.I hope this helps you out.

i cant seem to stop biting my nails but when they do grow they just dissapear i think i may bite them in my sleep and when im nervous any way to help please!

Hi Josie - When I was a kid I sucked my thumb and did all sorts of things to try and break it because I'd wake up with the thumb in my mouth! You should try wearing gloves to bed or the bitter stuff so, first, you can figure out if you are doing this in your sleep. Besides, cotton gloves over handcream is excellent for moisturizing in Winter. Must be frustrating to refrain all day and have this happen.
