Subject: help me ..............
Message: I just started to wear fake nails. So i'm not use to them yet, and yesterday i was putting clothes away in my dresser. My ring finger got caught on the inside of the dresser, and riped my whole nail completly back to were the nail begins to grow. it was so painful I all most passed out. what should i do? the nail is just dangling there so i put it back in place, then i taped it back together? It hurts so much-- Should i rip the nail off? should i go to the doctors? What should i put on it to keep it not infected? Help me i'm lost and this hurts so much.

Message: Dont tape it! keep a band aid on it and when it is ready to come off, it will be ready. It will grow back, but you need to be patience. you can also fill it in too, but the nail looks fake. Dont wear fake nails. If it hurts like you cant take it, tell a doctor.

Message: I am almost in the same situation as Robin. Having fake nails on. I was cleaning the kitchen counter and jamned my right pinky nail into the corner of the microwave. My fake nail took the real nail with it. It took a little more than half. What whould be your suggestion for treatment. As well as something that will help the nail grow faster. I get my nails done all the time. I just cant come to decision weither I should continue getting them done. I think I might look a little silly running around with 9 nails done and other one looking gross. So could you please give me some advice as to treatment.

Message: If you can't reach a decision about these fake nails with this as an issue I doubt seriously we can help you at all.
That said, SOAK OFF ALL OF THE NAILS FIRST. apply some hydrogen peroxide to the nail that is torn off. apply neosporin and maybe just maybe you should see a doctor!

Message: Hi Monnette,
You'll not find anyone here recommend you keep the fakes. I am a recovering acrylics wearer and it will probably take a year before my nails are completely healed.
My advice, ditch the fakes - they are so out of style now anyway.
Good luck with the ouch nail! You might want to see a doctor to make sure you don't get any kind of infection that will cause permanent damage to the nail bed.
