 Subject: fingernail smells

Recently I've noticed my wife smelling her new acrylic nails a lot while she watches TV. This may be a nervous habit, likes the smell or ??? I do know that there are chemicals used (like Toluene) in the process.
Comments..any one experience this?? Just need some advice !!!

are you sure she's sniffing them? she may be rubbing them against her lips to feel the smoothness of the nails. i know i used to do that when i had fake nails. it was an interesting feeling.

they just smelled like chemicals to me. they were smooth though. smooth on the outside, nail destroying on the inside!

I personally don't recall any smell - my money is on the smoothness!
Going from bitten nails to long smooth nails was a rather sensual experience. Hope she doesn't get too addicted to that feeling. They are not worth it in the long run.

I've noticed my brother doing the same thing! He loves to rub the smooth sensual feeling along his freshly shaved face. Maybe these chemcials and smooth sensual feelings have an affect on these people. I wouldnt know. I do not enjoy the smooth sensual feeling grazing across my cheek.
