 Subject: odd waves in nail

Only on my thumbnails do I have horizontal waves that go
up the center of the nail. They've been there for over a
year. They keep just growing up through the nail and only
on my two thumbs. Otherwise, the rest of my fingernails
are healthy and strong. Any ideas?

I saw a similar post, and commented that my mother has the same problem. She swears by Avon Basics Rich Moisture Hand & Nail Cream. Daily use, especially massaging it in before bedtime has seemed to work for her. Good luck!

i also have waves in a couple of my nails, but mine are from years of biting and the damage of acrylics. mine are now growing with the help of the natural nails growth formula, but i have a feeling the waves might take a while to grow out. it could be hereditary or from biting damage. as long as it doesn't hurt or cause you discomfort i would just make sure they retain the moisture needed for good healthy growth.

going to your doctor is always a good idea if it eases ones mind, but there is no need for panic. i believe most of us would be feeling so bad from severe anemia that we would know it. usually, but not always, waves are genetic or from trauma, such as, but not limited to, biting them.
