Subject: How to find a manicurist?
Message: I have been going to those discount manicure places for too long and need to find someone who knows how to do a real fill (without drills, and knows about nails lifting from the acrylic) Where do I start to look. The discount places are just everywhere.

Message: I would ask friends, co workers, some you see with nice nails. Word of mouth is better. You can go on line for your area and if you're not sure go the site for your state licensings and look them up. Best is word of mouth.

Message: the problem with "word of mouth" is that the folks you are getting a recomendation from might be using "discount nail salon" and be pleased with what they get. Beth is looking for someone who will have her natural nail's best interests in mind, while still applying acrylics.

Message: Beth, A drill is used to do a real fill, If the nail tech knows how to use the drill you'll be fine, I'm a manacuirst and I'v seen the cuts that those cheap shops do to people, thats because they do NOT know how to us the drill, find the right place an you'll be fine. Good Luck

Message: ladies,
this is a natural nail forum-hence, the subject at the top of the page. no drills, no acrylics, no lifting goes on here. god bless those manicurist's that do great manicures and that's all. they are wonderful to receive. there should be no use of any drills on any nails, but i'm not that naive. beth's post was a year and a half ago. i'm sure she's been through a few sets and a few nail techs since then trying to figure out who in the heck knows what they are doing. i'm not trying to be mean. there are too many people out there who don't have a clue as to what they are doing and ruining our nails. there are no laws to stop it, but if i can get one person to grow their own nails and just think about what they are doing and just be informed then i'll take the abuse. no one should have to go what i went through and what apparently, from reading these concerns everyday, a lot of other women go through also.

Message: There aremany people who use drills, but i have been trained to avoid these and i will. A proper fill should be done using a veryfine grit near the natural nail.

Message: I have been looking for a shop in the Ogden, Riverdale area of Utah that does Solar Nails. My daughter has them done in the Trolly Square Shopping Mall in Salt Lake and they look so natural. I would appreciate any help you can give me on this.

Message: HELLO, this is a natural nails forum, not an acrylic, solar, fiberglass, silk, gel or anything thing else other than our own nails, forum. we do not promote applying enhancements of any kind here as far as i know. look at the heading at the top of the page. this web site, not owned by me, sells products for growing our own strong, healthy, natural nails. why would the owner of this site sponser a forum so people could go spend their money on fake nails? go find an acrylic forum. as many millions of fake nails as there are out there, there must be people talking about them.

Message: well people need to wake up! yeah, i am harsh, but the big letters at the top of the page pretty much explain themselves. i wouldn't think of asking a question about "where the best place to get acrylics are", with a heading like this at the top of the page if i were doing a search. the owner of this site is just trying to run a business, sell her OWN products and provide a place to answer questions about growing natural nails-not promoting acrylics or products related to acrylics. if one person asks, then 20 more assume this is a forum about acrylics and want answers too.
