Subject: care for nails post fake nails
Message: I just removed fake nails tonite. Now my nails are very sore and a bit damaged. I was wondering what I should do to take care of them so that they might become healthy again. Thanks!

Message: I am having the same problem and hoped there would be answers here. It has been several days and no one has posted a response to you. I have no answers. I am using a daily treatment from Nailtiques but I don't think it is helping. I tried stopping the acrylics once before but got nowhere. My nails just kept breaking. I need help. I know you do too. Good luck.

Message: Do NOT put fake nails back on...and be patient. It takes up to an entire year to grow out the damage caused by fake nails, the nail bed becomes thinner and thinner and more brittle the longer you have fake nails on. Buy yourself a nail cream that as much lanolin and vitamins E,A, and B that you can find. Also, take your supplements or consume the proper amounts of Calcium, Iron, and Zinc each day in your food (better than taking supplements, the body more readily digests nutrients directly from you food rather than via a pill.) I have had my own nails now for over a year, they are getting thicker and stronger each passing month, but it is a slow process. Daily treatments of nail cream (and I mean the thick stuff that takes one minute per finger to rub in) and proper diet and time are the only fix for damaged nails. One last thing, get yourself a glass nail file so that you don't have to worry about filing in only one direction and a natural leather buffer with a soft buffing cream and buff gently (not so fast that the nail bed gets hot with friction, that can damage the nail too). Good luck and be patient!

Message: Katy and Wendy,
You are at the right place to recover your own natural nails. Our Growth Formula was designed to provide the moisture barrier you need to protect the nails from excessive moisture while maintaining the natural oils and nutrients.
Do not buff the nails while they are still fragile because of the fake nails. Wait on that until they are stronger and healthy. The Natural Nails Growth Formula works and works well. Learn more by clicking on the link "Return To Our Home Page" and read some of the posts regarding individual results by clients who purchased, and use the product.
Our natural nails wonderstone file provides a fine porus surface that lasts 20+ years and it works with a back and forth stroke without shreading the nails like other files.

Message: From my own experience. I had acrylic for over 6 months. After first time I’v got pink moons on my two nail beds from drill (sounds familiar?) I was watching them growing from cuticles to tips ALL this time. Acrylic was lifting all the time. I was so tired of it, so I finely sad INOUGTH! June 21 was the day I removed it. But because I was out of town I went to a first place I could find (obviously wrong one). Without telling all the details, my fingernails were damaged pretty badly.
And here is the good part of the story. I found this website and purchased nail growth formula and other stuff. I use this cream for 6 weeks. And guess what? My fingernails almost half way grown. My nails weren’t sensitive or sore anymore after about 1- 1 1/2 weeks of using this cream.
Take advantage of summer and remove acrylic now. I noticed before that nails grow faster in summer time. Even though I have a good diet I also take vitamins”Hair, Skin & Nails” to give my nails extra boost.
You need little bit more patience (don’t expect next day cure). You can do it. You can quit acrylic and be proud of yourself having healthy natural nails better then any artificial.
Best wishes to you and good luck.
P.S. Sorry for my English.

Message: I just realized I made a mistake: I removed acrylic in May, not in June (7 weeks ago). Then I start searching all over internet information, advice, help…and I found it on this website.
If you embarrassed of your fingernails right now, remember it’s only temporarily (cover them with nail polish if you have to, glittery one wouldn’t reveal imperfections).
Good luck.
