Message: All things considered, that is difficult to determine. There are so many things to consider. Heredity, diet, lifestyle, activities, job, stress. All of these play into the process. I do know for a fact "if" the product on this site is used, the results are phenomenal. The process takes time though with or without this product. So don't give up before you give you natural nails a fighting chance to be healthy again. Damaged nails do recover. Just take your time and do as much as possible to maintain a balanced diet, manicure regularly, and try to not keep your hands submerged in water for great lengths of time.

Message: I my natural nails have white streaks(spots) all over them. They are dry looking and have ridges on them. Could this be a vitamin deficency? I wore articfical nails many years ago but, I know that been over 7 years. What can I do to get my nails healthy? I started going to an manicurist she thinks its a vitamin deficency. What do you think?

Message: Amy,I have a similiar problem. I had a manicurist file my acrylics so they would grow out naturally. I had a partial acrylic over my rt thumb, the other day at work I accidently hit a door handle & hit my thumb. My thumb started to bleed & I seen it was loose. So I put a bandaid on it& did that for 2 days. Then I was tired of being so careful for fear it would rip off so I clipped it off & I have just a tiny bit of nail on the bottom. I just have a bandaid on it & at nite I read to use an ointment like Neosporin on it but just a dry bandaid during the day. Its just a little tender but I am so worried it won't grow back, I had acrylics for 2 yrs & kept them up sometimes going less than 2 wks to have them filled & then started to have trouble with them lifting. I feel so bad about it & am taking calcium tabs. & eating jello & dairy products. I have always been very vain about my nails& now this had to happen. I will never have fake nails again as I never had trouble like this before & I am worried, I don;t think theres a lot to do about it just have to wait but I am trying to hurry the process. I don't intend to go to a Dr unless I have problems with it but it looks pink & healthy but just no nail. Let me know how you are doing. I am very depressed over this & could sit & cry over it. I just need patience but right now I have none. Let me know how you are doing, Thanks!!!!

Message: Patti, you will be ok. I'm glad you realize that acrylic nails are harmful to your natural nails. Reward yourself by ordering the Natural Nails Kit. These products are wonderful. Read some of my other responses to other folks. Trust me, this product can bring the beauty back to your natural nails. My hands are living proof of that.

Message: many years ago, i had my nails wrapped ... they always looked beautiful and felt strong. when i stopped, it took a good six months for my natural nail to resemble a human fingernail. although they never looked as good as the wrapped nail, i never went back, because i knew they were destroying my nails. a few months ago i started the Atkins diet and have not had Milk for several months. now i notice my fingernails all have lines/ridges on them ... from the bed to the tips ... i keep them very short because they have always been thin and they grow funny. now i'm worried about a vitamin deficiency or calcium deficiency ... which is it and what should i be eating to improve this condition?

Message: For my dad's wedding last year I bought those plastic nails from the drugstore that you put on with glue (this stuff is just superglue) and I kept buying them and putting them back on. They looked even better than my friends nails who had theirs professionally done for our prom and I couldn't stop wearing them! Now I'm getting sick of how unhealthy my real nails are, they're really damaged and when they start to grow out, the tips sometimes aren't even attached to the skin underneath! I hate wearing the fake ones now but I can't stand having my nails look like this. I'm only 18, I don't have a credit card or a lot of money to be buying things for my nails, are there any natural remedies for nail damage or is there something that I could find at my local drugstore or beauty counter?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I want my nails to look normal again.
Thanks.
