Hi, I'm 32 and have been nail crazy ever since I can remember.My nails have and always will be paper thin, guess I just have to accept that and live with it! But I don't want to... I've tried EVERYTHING on the market known to man. The only thing that seems to help (a little) is prescription prenatal vitamins (Prenate). I'm not pregnant, but my sister is and she gave them to me. Even though my nails improved a little, they still tend to layer and peel (especially on the sides) on every finger except for my pinkies. And no, I don't file the sides... God forbid if I did! LOL. I have ordered your product recently, Barbara, but haven't recieved it yet. I'm looking forward to results.
Enough babbling... my question is this: Desperate, I went out and bought a gel overlay kit to protect my nails, because I truly want NATURAL ones, and not artificials. You stress the point of "allowing the nail's to breathe", so are gel overlays gonna do more harm than good?

Well, I purchased and applied the "Gel Overlays" and it has been almost a week now. I couldn't take them anymore so I soaked in Cutex and removed to nails..As we both discussed via our e-mails, they do destroy the natural nails regardless of what the packaging states. Though I must say they are the most natural looking artificial nails I have ever applied. But now the damage is done and I can honestly say, "Do Not use the nails unless you are prepared to wait on the damage to grow out....Looks like I will have to apply the growth formula more often that my regular 14 day regimen to get my nails back out without pits and ruts...
Well, at least we can say in all honesty, that these are damaging too..

Oh, a side note..We were thinking of adding a chat room to the site at a later date. Would you participate, and do you think others would be interested in this venture also.. Thanks for your input.

Hi, Barb.I know what you mean about the gel over-lays, only I didn't use the tips, just the gel over my natural nails to protect them and well... you know the rest of the story. :)
I've been using your product now for almost a week, Barbara, and I can honestly say that I do see an improvement! I started again from scratch so it's gonna be a while before the damage grows out and for my nails to get into the best shape they can possibly be in. I'll keep you posted.
As for the chat room idea... I say, GREAT! You know I'll be there! I would love to be able to actually talk with others with the same beauty concerns... especially nails! Of course, the only problem would be immature invaders where beauty is their last concern, but I'm sure we could over- come that. :) Go for it, Girl! Thanx again for all of your time. Will the gel solution applied to nails at the nail salon injure my nails. I have very brittle nails and very then. They also peel badly. I take calcium and Fosamax prescribed by my doctor.
