i was biting my nails ever since i can remember.
my mom always tried to buy me all kinds of that bitter liquid you put on the nails in order to make me stop biting them.
at some point, even though i wanted to stop, i couldnt. i was biting them unconsciously, sometimes, i'd just find myself biting my nails and not even notice it..
anyway, i finally quit, but now, since i bit them for so long and the became very small and short, they are having trouble growing attachedto the skin under them. plus, they grow at an arc-shape even though i trim them straight across. are they ever going to grow normal again?
another thing.. i cant remember how it was before i bit them, but i think the nails start from too high up. i think they should start from closer to the wrist side.

Mine used to do that too! i just let them grow tilll they passed my fingertip then shaped them. It takes a long time to grow. I started my growth process last june and now its april and i can finally file them becuase they are too long and they are strong now. I just used alot of cuticle oil everday..And opi nail envy saved my life hehe
