Message: It can take up to 2 years for a toe nail to completely replace itself. Most of the time it's between 6 months to a year though...the older you are the slower they growand health issues can contribute too.

Message: I've had a bunch of bandaids on it all day but now that they are off my toe looks pretty clear....but I can't get ahold of it now to see if it will pull up...it is pretty short....and wrinkly too....it looks kind of dirty at the cuticle.... :/

Message: Kassandra,
i would leave it alone for now. it sounds like you might have a blood bruise at the root, or the cuticle, but it doesn't sound like you might lose your toenail. it might be "wrinkly" from the moisture of the bandaids. leave it uncovered while you sleep and let it "air" out. don't try and force the nail up. just keep an eye on it and let your mom look at it anyway. it might grow on out or you might end up losing it, but either way you're just going to have to wait and see.
