 Subject: Discoloured nail tips

I have nice strong long nails BUT the tips of my nails are a cream/yellow colour. This is not through wearing nail polish as I only grow my nails for the first time last year and had never worn nail polish when they grew this colour. Is there something I can do to help make my nail tips white? Please help

Try soaking your nails in Denture Cleanser. Take a bowl and fill it with water (as hot as you can tolerate it). Drop an "Efferdent" tablet into the bowl and soak your nails in that until the tablet stops fizzing and the water turns back clear again.
After that, take a nail brush and soap and scrub the underside of the nails. this should brighten them up tremendously.
There are a lot of things that make nails have a yellow cast to them... smoking is a BIG cause, age is another big one too.
BUT from my years of experience with nails professionally, I've noticed something... the stronger the nails are, the more yellow they look. I think it has to do with the protien content of the nails--and that's a good thing too.

One of a two part. My cucitals are always dry no matter what. I do use cutical oil or vitamin "E" on the cuticul...is there anything else I can do.
What exactly is the purpose for Protien for the nails and can Calcuim and Protien be used together?

protein or calcium whether ingested or applied isn't going to help your nails. your nails are made from amino acids which is turned into keratin, which are what your nails are composed of. putting on a strengthener or taking extra supplements isn't going to suddenly make you have stronger nails. taking care of them and keeping the moisture level up in them will. cuticle oil and vitamin e is good for them, but does not provide a moisture barrier. if you want your cuticles and nails to be healthier then try the natural nails growth formula from this site. just go visit the home page and read about it. it works.

nail polish with all the chemicals involved in them will just dry them out even worse. i'm not saying you can never wear polish again, but if you're trying for stronger, healthier nails then putting on drying "hardeners" and then using even more drying remover is not going to lead to stronger, healthier nails. longer and faster is not always a good thing.

I started to use Natural Nails Growth Formula almost week ago. Too soon to see the growth result yet, but my cuticles look very healthy and I think my nails are little bit stronger now.
I don't expect next day result from any product, but the cream I use right now gives me more hope than anything else.(I'll let you know what happens next week or so.)

healthy cuticles will always lead to healthy nails. it took almost a full month before mine even started to grow and recover from acrylics. have patience.it will happen.
