Subject: product called Nail Envy - by OPI
Message: Hi I forgot to ask about this product I found in my drawers of nail product stash. I didn't use it really but I know people that say it works. Would it hurt the process of the NGF to use it? I don't want to use it if it is going to ruin what the NGF does. There are several different formulas including nail polish by OPI brand. This one is supposed to help with soft thin nails. It is called Nail Envy. I tried to read on the bottle what the ingredients are, but I couldn't really see anything. How can we tell what kind of products are harmful to use on our nails? I know I have heard of formaldihyde - sounds like that is probably bad?? anyway does anyone know. Are there any products to use that will work along with the NGF formula to help protect the nail from breaking, chipping and etc? A couple of friends said that they use clear nail polish to help their nails from breaking and etc, but I heard that nail polish is bad for your nails from others?
Ok got to get back to work, I have a goal or challenge in my Mary Kay business for this month and I am going to do all I can to make it. What do the rest of you ladies do other than mom, wife, taxie, bill payer, dishes and etc.I hear that is called the home executive...
Hugs
Doris
p.s.s currantly I am also have a home daycare beside Mary Kay....

Message: Do NOT use the other product until you are totally convinced that your nails will not benefit from the Formula.....
You have to consider a lot is going on here. Your nails are being cut? How, what do you use.....Do NOT cut or clip the nails, it causes stress fractures and your nails are already weak and fragile! It takes time for your nails to recover after all that you have put them through! Plus, if you are running a day care, I assume you are washing your hands about a bizillion times a day with an anti-bacterial soap.....That will also create problems, so you must consider that there is not going to be overnight success here! Give it all plenty of time....
Cheryl used the product for probably about a year before she was really happy with what was happening, (I think that timing is 'bout right!) correct me if I am wrong Cheryl..... But the point I am trying to make is that none of this is instant gratification so don't give up and don't get discouraged.... Just come on in here and whine all you want, we all need a place to vent!
You are absolutely on the right path now with the fakes off and going NEKKED and all!

Message: I used Nail Envy for awhile and found that it dried my cuticles. My nails didn't seem to improve either. It's fairly expensive and not worth the money.

Message: Thank you Lorriane and Barbara for responding. I am not going to try anything, but it is good to know not to try the nail envy. I am going to hang in there and can't wait to see the results everyone talks about. I am sure I should start seeing more improvement soon, it has been almost a month since I took my glue on nails off.
Have a great day and thanks for writing.

Message: I don't want to keep hemming and hawing about "my nails weren't damaged as most" but it seems I should count my lucky stars that I saw results from the NGF practically instantaniously. I wish Cheryl would pop in and offer her story. Seems she has been through the ringer too. As I said I can't relate to your problems, Doris, but am now realizing how lucky I am. If I could just get this cuticle thing solved I'd be on cloud 9 though.
