 Subject: Update on lil' ol' MoiMessage: Well, I had the chest x-ray - still waiting on the results. I saw the surgeon yesterday and he didn't make me come back for another appt, he just took out a large area around the original site. That will be sent for a biopsy and I will see him again in 2 weeks to have the stitches removed and get the newest pathology report. He said that I have nothing to worry about, that the size of the tumor was so tiny there is no way it could have spread anywhere else. Now, let me tell you how I found the mole in the first place. I was driving along with Melissa, my oldest daughter, and I was teasing her about her "funky" new hair-do. She said it wasn't as "funky" as the mole on my back. That is how I found out about it. So anyway... I come home yesterday from the surgeon and I told her what he said and she got this 'look' on her face and says 'you know, it seems to me I saved your life'. Later that night we went to WalMart and EVERYTHING she saw she would say "You know, I'd like to have this and it's really not a big price to pay for someone who saved your life". LOLOL Finally I said "FORGET IT! TOMORROW I'M GOING BACK AND TELLING THE DOCTOR TO PUT IT BACK IN!!!" LOL I love my kids :) |

So much has happened during my departure. Hubby and I were on an overnighter doing the college thing with my son. Went to RI to Johnson and Wales University to the Culinary Campus. Was very impressed but onward with you, Ruth. I'm so glad to read your post. It's funny how we find out about cancer. Thank Melissa for us! I'm sure you know what a big thankyou you owe her too. Yeah, kids they are funny, huh! Just remember to keep us posted and like Barbara said, we'll still be working overtime on your behalf. It's terrible to say but not until we get a scare like the one you've been through do we stop and smell the roses. |
