Message: I've been using the NGF since May and I might be ready to use it maybe every other day or more. Is there any rule to doing this or will you just know? It's like over night my nails improved even MORE even though they improved after about the first week. That L'Occitane hand cream I recommend highly if your hands do get a bit dry from constantly submerging them in water.

Message: Hol, everyone is a bit different as you well know... So my rule of thumb is to just cut back gradually, if you use it once a day and are happy with what is happening, then I would continue with that. If you want to cut back and see if the growth rate is substantial enough to use less, then just skip a day like you say, and see if they continue in a fashion that is pleasing to you..... The biggest thing is to keep the moisture balanced. Once you have established a healthy growth pattern, just use it often enough to keep those cuticles conditioned. I use it about once every 10 to 14 days when I sit long enough to treat myself to a full manicure.... But you could be very different. One of my ladies uses the formula once every month and that is great for her purposes. I use a hand cream but not daily. My *beauty*regimen* leaves a lot to be desired.... I am strictly hit and miss, so things that demand ongoing attention, outside of my Bible studies, usually go the way of the toilet water.
I know you will know when you want to cut back. There really is no set, hard and fast rules after the first 30 days, 2X's daily... That is just to jump start the growth process. Beyond that it is entirely up to you!

Message: Barb is right, Hol (no suprises there)! I had cut back on the NGF and all was okay, then I had my hands in rubbing alcohol a lot and my cuticles fell apart and my nails peeled really bad. So, I filed them short and started over. Of course they are looking better and better each day! :)

Message: Thanks for your input ladies! I don't know what to do yet but I'm sure it will fall into place eventually. Just because I'm scared to stop the once a day treatments for a few days maybe I'll go alittle longer and see if I get get even better results that way. I felt really bold when I originally posted this but now this morning I'm not so bold. In some aspects I can really be determined. When it comes to my nails that's at the top of my list! Maybe I'll tone it down eventually. "One step at a time!" Is that what we say? I guess I'll have to play experiment.

Message: Hol,
Just cut back to every other day and see how that works. That will be a simple way to test without really giving up much.
