Give yourself a big pat on the back :) I got a call from my dad yesterday saying that we are no longer allowed to give my mom candy or sweets for her birthday, etc., because she won't eat any real food. The last straw was the other day when they were out and about doing errands and she asked to stop at a convenience store for an Icee. Dad waited in the car and out came mom toting 4 LARGE Icee's. LOLOL She took them home and divided them up into 8 cups and refroze them. So anyway, she was complaining to me about not being allowed any more sweets and I told her that she has to first admit she has an addiction before she can overcome the addiction. LOLOL She started laughing so hard she was choking. She said she wasn't ready to admit she needs to stop smoking and she sure as h--- wasn't going to give up the sugar. <sigh> My poor mum. I still say she'll never get cancer because the cells can't survive on her diet. Congrats again, Barb!!! |
