Subject: I need advise
Message: I work with many older ladies, just proforming your basic manicure. Alot of these ladies ask me about their nail plates lifting. All the research points to moisture under the nial. Does anyone know if there is any other reasons behind this and how it os cured? Ta.

Message: Funny you should ask this. I have one now with the edge lifting at a corner about 1/3 the way down. For me, this is the result of acrylics one year past removing them and switching to NGF. The lifting with the acrylics is what caused me to remove them in the first place, but I think it can take a long time for the nail bed to fully recover for some people. It's also possible I injured that nail somehow.
Other medical issues can cause lifting as well as allergic reactions to products, including polishes with formaldehyde and toulene. You might want to consider polishes that don't contain those ingredients for your older clients as well as using gentler removers that are non-acetone. Also, if these ladies have long nails, they can simply lift from pressure and they'd do well to keep them shorter. Most importantly, they should be watching for fungus. A fungal infection can cause lifting as well complicate an already lifted nail. Swiping an anti-fungal under the nail helps, as well as wearing gloves in water whenever possible.

Message: Are you ladies referring to the natural nail lifting? Thank heavens my nails don't even look like they might lift. They look quite healthy now and I have made an strong effort to leave my cuticles alone and they are really looking great. I knew it would just take time to overcome this. Just like nail biting.

Message: The middle nail on my left hand lifts from the bed at the corner and about 1/4 of an inch down. It looks like the white tip wraps around the corner there. LOL If I leave it alone, it does get better. The problem is I pick at it :(

Message: My nails tend to chip, crack and get very brittle once the cold weather hits. Is there anything I can do to keep my nails healthy and long all year long?

Message: Josie,
You're in the correct place to get exactly what you need.... The cold winter air saps the natural moisture balance from the nails. The Natural Nails Growth Formula will protect the nails and provide the moisture barrier to allow your nails to stay healthy all year round.
