Subject: Hair and nail growth supplements
Message: A few months ago on the "dark side" bb there was a post about what supplements to take to make your hair and nails healthier and your hair from falling out. I faithfully use NGF and my nails are so much better, but my hair has become thin and limp. One was folic acid, and I can't remember what the other one was? Does anyone remember reading what it was or know what the second one was? I was taking it, I stopped and now I don't remember the name of it.
Thank you.

Message: Biotin, maybe. If so, you are in luck. Andrew Lessman is on HSN all weekend. His products are the greatest.

Message: Deb and kasi, thank you for this, and I found out too from the dark side. I've been a bit under the weather, with terrible pain, and on Monday the doctor gave me Skelaxin for my muscles and muscle spasms, and when I take one, I'm in the "Land of Nod" for a few hours. It is helping with the pain, and I can't believe there is finally something to help me, but it does make me sleepy.
Thank you and I quick Hi to all of the ladies here. Remy, my poodle, was 1 year old Monday, and my nephew and his wife had a baby girl on the same day. She is about 6 weeks early, but she is doing well. They took her off the respirator yesterday, and she weighed 4 pounds 8 ounces when they delievered her by c-section. Her name is Emma Martha, but her 2-year old brother says her name is BUTTER!!! So I don't know what we will call her. LOL!!!
Love to all,
Karen

Message: Kasi, I got mine at Walmart this morning. At 42, my hair became so curly, it looked like I had a perm. I had just started on Thyroid medication, and my hairdresser said that thyroid medication can make that happen. Last year they gave me the generic brand of my thyroid medication, and my hair is straight; if I put electric heating rods in, only the ends curl and I look like Bozo the clown. I have some curl and when his humid, it frizzes. I don't know what to do with it any longer, and if I don't do something, it's pin straight and limp. I have tried every shampoo and conditioner, and curling product, and that only makes my hair sticky and like a mannequin's. I keep it in a braid, ponytail, or pulled back and flipped up with a barrette! I don't know what I am going to do with it, I'm so frustrated. And as a French hairdresser told me, politely, "your face is too round to have short hair"!!! LOL
Thanks again to you and Debodel. I appreciate you both posting the name of the biotin. If I needed to save myself, I couldn't remember the name.
Love,
Karen
