Subject: Nail growth
Message: I had my gel nails removed 6 to 7 weeks ago & have been using the nail care about 6 weeks. My nails seem to be alot stronger, but as soon as they grow even 1/16 of an inch they tear off. I put the cream on faithfully twice a day. I was hoping for better results by now. My nails just don't seem to be growing. Am I expecting results too soon? Should I just continue to be patient?

Message: Hi Joyce!!! Congrats on removing the fake stuff and going au natural! The NGF is an amazing product and it's difficult to say how long it will be before your nails can really grow long and stay that way. So much depends on the condition of your nails before you started using the product, etc. And remember, your entire nail was damaged both during the use of fakes and the removal of the fakes, so you need to allow time for all that damage to grow out. Trust me, I know.
Keep up the good work and you won't be disappointed.

Message: Joyce,
Moi is correct in her explanation....You will have to wait on new growth entirely before you will see the improvements you are talking about. You can not undo that kind of damage in moments when the destruction was so through. Give it dime and don't get discouraged. They WILL improve.

Message: Joyce, I guess what Moi said about damaged nails sounds right. I'm learning a bunch from you, Moi. I didn't have any of the damage you are talking about and I saw results fairly quick and after only using the product for 4 mos my nails are hydrated, much harder and the length has improved quite dramatically. Most of the time I have 10 long nails. I tend to keep them kind of short, at least by others standards, but that's because I can't stand really long nails because they get in the way. In just less than a week my nails basically didn't split or peel any longer and I constantly have to cut them every 3-4 weeks. They are also much more flexible.

Message: Hol, I'm glad you feel like you've learned from me - I hope it's the good stuff though and that you haven't resorted to putting toilets on the roofs of school buildings ;)
The thing I love most about this site is that we ALL learn something from each other. Everyone here is soooooo smart and so willing to share what they know. I love it here!
