Subject: Anybody Dealing With Ernesto?
Message: What about you, Barbara? I know you're down there. If anything we'll get rain over the weekend. I remember just last week I was complaining because we needed rain. Well, we got it this week! More than I'd care to admit. And now they say MORE over the weekend. YUGH!!!!!

Message: We are not only hoping but praying for a rain event here. It did rain last night, (while I was driving home from my bible study!) But no complaints....I made it through the storm in good repair, and am hoping for more of the same this evening.....
We shall see!
We are almost a foot low on our rainfall for this year.
Drought, Georgia is not a pleasent place to be!

Message: I have a friend in Vero Beach, FL and she said this storm was a joke. A little bit of rain. That's all. Ernesto is suppose to be up our way over the weekend and hit us with some rain. We've had PLENTY here lately due to another storm. I'm wondering if we'll get alot of rain or this will be a joke like my friend said. About a week ago I complained about no rain and then we got hit with a storm big time. Actually we don't need any rain. The ground is very satuated to begin with. Anyway, I hope you guys stay safe and get the rain you need.

Message: I wish I could tell you that we don't need the rain. Every pond around here within about a 50 mile radius is now just a hole in the ground that is growing a bed of lush green grass that will soon turn dry and brittle, and die due to lack of rain! We really need weeks of saturation. Even if we get really fed up with it, we need it desperately... So I am hoping against hope that Ernesto is one fine rain event. Maybe he will break this cycle we're in..
Isn't is weird how things are either feast or famine? We don't really get "seasons" like we used to. No Spring, no Autumn, just HOT SUMMER or COLD WINTER!

Message: Ernesto dumped about 2" of rain on us. Sure looked like more because it rained literally hard for 20 hrs. Now this morning the sun FINALLY came out and I did a dance to welcome the sun. When I took my doggie for a walk there were many other owners enjoying the sun too. I guess this cabin fever really got to alot of people.
