Subject: In Need of a Little Prayer Today
Message: Good Morning Ladies. I have to be in court this afternoon for a Judge to decide on custody of two of our grandchildren. Long story short - my oldest daughter is involved in a very violent, abusive relationship. We were "informed" a couple of weeks ago that she planned to move herself and her two children in with this monster (sorry, that's the nicest word I could think of). We immediately petitioned the court to get a temporary custody order to prevent that from happening. The Judge granted us custody for two weeks, with a hearing scheduled for today. She doesn't see the danger that she is in or the danger that she is placing the children in - even though there are many scars, bruises (inside and out) to prove it. My prayer today is that this God give this Judge the wisdom that he needs to do what is in the best interest of the children. I will let you know how it all works out. TIA, Deb

Message: Deb, I hope you were given custody. I don't know why but family court judges like to keep the families together, and often the children are the ones who really need to be given to a more stable environment and it's best for them.
Good Luck and I hope it turned out in your favor.

Message: Ok, heres the update. The kids are still with us!! My daughter did not contest out petition for custody, but at the same time denied that they were back together. Go figure. I think he has her really messed up. I pray for her daily, but I sleep better at night knowing that those babies are right in the next room and our of harms way. Thanks to all of you - what a band of ladies we have here!!

Message: Deb I am so happy that you have the grandkids and what a blessing!
I know what you are going through because my sister got pregnant at 17 and never married and then hooked up with this guy who was a monster! My parents tried to get custody and then she ran off to FL and we live in Tenn...when he was five he came to school and had a black eye and bruises all over and they took him from my sister. My parents got custody and raised him and my sister stayed with this scum bag who was abusing her also.My sister finally left this man when my nephew was 18...she had finally had enough....but we never stopped praying and trusting in God's plan.My sister is here now and has a wonderful relationship with her son and now has a beautiful granddaughter.I wanted to share this and I know that there is power in prayer because my family has gone down this road...God kept her safe and returned her to us but also took my nephew out of harms way. I also saw how this broke my Mother's heart and I can only imagine what you are feeling right now!You and your whole family are in my prayers...God bless you!
