 Subject: Hello Ladies, Can I come back and postMessage: Hi ladies, I've been away so long, and have had a lot of health problems, and haven't been back to post in a long time, but would it be OK if I came back to join you??? I'm feeling better and I would like to visit here again. So I hope no one objects, and that I will be welcomed back like a lost lamb!!! I practically only post on the QBBs on the Fibro Chicks because they understand how badly I feel so much of the time, and not that you ladies don't, because I know some of you have fibro too. Things are Ok here. My puppy is getting bigger, and he's so smart. The fibro is still here, but I went to the Holistic doctor last week and he gave me a supplement for the pain in my knee and it actually works, and I can walk without pain. It's called Myalgesic, and it's like a miracle pill, but it's not a drug, so no side effects. it's all natural. My nephew and his wife are expecting a new baby in late October/early November, and it's a girl!! I'm finally going to have the niece I've always wanted!!!! Barbara, I've read some of the posts and I'm so sorry that Wu was adversely affected by the heartworm medication. It's really good that the company will help with the costs of his treatment and I hope he is better soon. Moi, are you finished for the summer with the home schooling???? I hope the kids did as well as they always do. I'm still using NGF, and it's working great. I swear by it and I will never stop using it. I will post again, and I will read posts from here on. If I go back too many posts, I won't know what's going on. I miss you and I do love all of you ladies. Love, Karen |

I did take him in to be groomed on July 22nd and they told me he was matted and needed to be shaved, but they cut him so close to his skin, he looked like a persian lamb coat!!! It was a Saturday, his appointment was at noon, and he wasn't matted. My husband said that they were shaving all the dogs, and that's what I thought when she told me he was matted. I won't be doing that again, and I did like the haircut she gave him the 2 times before the shaving. My breeder told me that the "chain" stores - this was PetSmart - have a quota to fill for grooming, and shaving is so much easier than cutting and styling. However, he now looks like panne velvet instead of persian lamb! His skin showed through. He can give you 5 and he waves. He is so cute. Thanks for asking Sheltie. I do know that lots of groom shops like to shave in the summer - the myth is that they are cooler without all that hair, when in fact they are cooler with it. God put it there for a reason. As for PetSmart, I used to be the Store Director at our local PetSmart for almost 4 years. Unless things have changed dramatically, there is no quota for the groom shop. Give Remy a hug and a treat!!! |

Thank you for telling me about my misinformation about the store policy and grooming. He wasn't matted though, and our neighbor has a Bichon and she saw Remy the morning he went to the groomer, and she was shocked when the groomer said he was matted. I went in with a comb and I had combed very well. I was just disappointed. Here is a link to his pictures http://groups.msn.com/kbdpictures. He is with his big brother who was adopted from the same litter, by another couple in our area and we met about 2 weeks ago in the new local park to see how the boys were together and I guess for a "play date". We were taking our Mini American Eskimo to a groomer and had been very happy with her. Then one time when we went to pick her up the head groomer said we would have to muzzle her from now on or not bring her in because on that visit she started nipping at the lady who was grooming her. We were all shocked because Misty was this sweet little thing that had never been a problem before. Anyway, we got her home and found that they had shaved off 3 of her little nipples! Man, I'd be 'nippy' too if I were her. I was livid. I pitched a fit and demanded that something be done about the groomer who handled Misty that day. We never went back there. Matter of fact, we bought our own set of clippers and did her ourselves from then on. |
