Subject: Jill
Message: Hi all!
We haven't heard much from Jill lately, but I do stay in touch with her via email. I got an email this morning and she and her father are in need of our prayers.
As many of you know, Jill is struggling with Lyme disease. She was bitten by a tick here in So Cal and has had to fight doctors and insurance companies for treatment for the disease. Local doctors refuse to admit that Lyme disease is found here and won't treat her for such. She has to go to a doctor in Northern CA for treatment and insurance doesn't cover much, if any of her treatments. As if that weren't bad enough, now it looks as though her father has it also. He was recently bitten by a tick and is showing all the symptoms and signs that Jill has. They have an appt with a specialist in a couple weeks up north but according to Jill, there's really no doubt about it. She said that she has also gotten an email from another lady in her area that was also bitten and has Lyme. Hmmm... strange isn't it, that it's NOT in So Cal, yet so many people are coming down with it??
Anyway - Jill and her father are in need of our prayers. She's been such a support to this board, offering a wealth of information and always being positive and upbeat despite her own health issues. I'm asking you to please take a moment to offer up a prayer in their behalf.
Thank you all so much! This is just such an amazing group of friends and I am blessed to know you all!

Message: Please pass our love on to Jill when you *speak* with her next.
That is so typical of the way things are in this system. Just turn a blind eye to those in need, ignore any truth, see only what YOU WANT to see, and above all, if you say it is or it is not the truth long enough and loud enough all will indeed agree with you.....
Are you all not just sick at heart with pay, pay, pay! And they never return anything to you in kind, like something as simple as fair, and honest treatment. It is all about the money....
Well now I will step off the Soap Box and someone else may stand in.....
Please Moi, tell Jill we are all thinking of her and her dad, and let her know she IS in our hearts and prayers.
And Moi, thank you for letting us all know about this.

Message: Hello, my dear friends,
Ruth was kind enough to tell me that the prayers were flowing in from all of you. I appreciate it so much.
My 85-year-old father has been the rock of our family. Despite hisbeing a two-time cancer survivor, he and my mom have been coming to my house nearly every day, driving me to doctors' appointments, etc. My mom has her own health problems but keeps trying to help me despite it.
Now he is very sick and I'm having to fight his doctors the same way I had to fight mine when they just kept misdiagnosing me MS, or telling me to go to a pain clinic, etc. when it was Lyme all along and they refused to believe it. I had to diagnose myself and now I am diagnosing my dad.
Right now, I really appreciate prayers that I will be able to get my father to my Lyme doctor who is in an entirely different part of the state many hours away. I have trouble walking and driving these days so I have to make sure I'm healthy enough to get my dad to the appointment. Our appointment is next week.
I know I shouldn't let my mind run off in tangents worrying, but I was already concerned that my parents have been so busy caring for me, that we have been unable to clear out their house to try to sell it and get them into a retirement home. My dad was just starting to work on it when this hit.
I have to get healthy to work on their house, and get them the care they need, as well as getting myself the care I need.
I know each of you has burdens of your own so your kindess and unselfishness means the world to me.
I will check in when I can and let you know how it goes.
Thank you and much love,
Jill

Message: Jill, I'm sorry to hear about all of the health problems with you and your father. I haven't been her in a while, but I have kept you ladies in my thoughts and prayers, and I will now add your Dad to them.
I hope the doctor's are able to get you both the help you need, and you are on the road to recovery very quickly.

Message: Oh, Jill, I'm sorry this has hit you on such a grand scale now. Your father is fortunate to have you as his advocate, though, because you are so experienced and well versed on Lyme. I'm praying for a nice long remission for you soon.
