Subject: Nailpolish discoloration
Message: Hi! I am in the sun a bit (beach, pool, tanning bed from time to time), and it doesn't matter if my nailpolish is brand new from the store or old, it always fades to a yellowy color and discolors my nail under the polish. I generally wear paler colors or a french manicure. But one time in the sun and the nude tones are yellow. Help! I always need polish on or my nails chip too much, but it is embarassing and gross that they change colors. I feel like those hypercolor shirts from years ago. Thanks.

Message: you can get a clear topcoat with UV protection in it at any drug store or beauty supply. sun and tanning beds are famous for turning light colors yellow.

Message: H,
Most polish has a yellow in it. That is usually the culprit that "stains" the nails. But try the product Cheryl has mentioned. She has great experience and a lot of common sense mixed in with her practical knowledge.

Message: I used to use that product - Yellow Stopper. It works well, has sort of a ultra violet cast to it. In fact, if you got anywhere with blacklights or in a tanning bed, you light up! It happened to me on a school field trip with kids to a space shuttle simulation. They thought it was pretty cool. lol
