Subject: Barbara, Clarify Something For Me
Message: I just read where Helen has been using the NGF for about 3 months now and she's using the sheep fat every other day. I've been also using the NGF for almost that amount of time. When can I graduate to every other day? I don't know if I want to go every other day or not just yet though.

Message: Hol, When you have established a growth rate pattern you are happy with, you can begin to cut back. I only apply the formula about every 10 to 14 days when I do a full manicure, or if I am bathing dogs or washing vehicles.... Then I will use a dab to protect... But you will know when it is right for you to begin to cut back. Just what ever suits you best....

Message: I went through a time when I only used NGF 1x daily, but then when my nails started feeling dry and unhealthy, I started using it 2x daily again. Especially in the chlorinated water (as I have said a bjillion times). The beauty of the product is that you can not overuse it!

Message: Thanks Barbara and Moi. I think then I can cut back and as you said, Moi, if my nails start to get dry then I can revert back to the once a day thingy. Sometimes I still put on the NGF twice a day if my hands are in water alot. What's the line "it can't hurt." My thumb nails are stronger than heck (gosh knows why) but my other nails aren't doing bad either! It took a while but it is quite evident that my nails grow faster. I never thought I'd cut my nails because they were too long but I'm constantly doing this.
I think I have another convert. My good friend has noticed my nails and just yesterday she said she's never noticed my nails looking so good before. I guess having no polish on and having nails that peek over my tips helps. As always I'm not pushing anybody but if they ask I sure will get on my pedestal!

Message: I have cut back some, I still try to use it 4-5 nights a week before going to bed. My issue was never really with my nails - they were in pretty good shape. My issue was my cuticles. If I don't use it the NGF at least every other day, I tend to want to pick, pick, pick those cuticles. That is such a hard habit to break.

Message: I know what you mean, debodel, about the cuticles. My nails use to be a problem but the NGF took care of that. My cuticles are still much, much better but still not perfect. That's because I still bite/pick at them. It's easy to say just kick the habit! Not so easy but I'm still trying!

Message: I will probably never stop using it twice daily. It's become habit. Plus, I like the idea of doing it before bed without washing any of it off.
Hol, if you are looking to do it once daily, get yourself a bottle of solar nails oil and brush that on your cuticles once daily to subsidize. It's a nice product.

Message: I had used that Solar Oil, Lynnie, and it didn't seem to do anything for me. Then again I was using that ProStrong at the time and every time I put the ProStrong on my nails I was ruining them more and more so my cuticles never got a chance to heal. I might try that oil again though. Sometimes I use the NGF twice a day because I feel my nails are dried out. Like you I like to use it before I go to bed so I don't wash it off. Sometimes I don't do that though and have my hands in water and it does wash off but my nails are fine so I really think it's mind over matter.
