Message: Got it Deb....I too found that number this morning on their site....We have a case number. They have a lot of stipulations on how they will pay for the treatment.... They called it some sort of guarantee. But what it amounts to is if your vet did not follow their specific guidelines about testing etc, they retain their right not to pay for the recovery treatment. They are now waiting on the paper work from our Vets office.... Like Ruth said. Now I will just take a deeeeeeeeeeeeeep breath and wait on the results!
Thank you Deb for putting out your efforts, you are much cared for and appreciated here.

Message: Glad you could get in touch with someone. Sometimes, in huge companies that is very difficult to do. Here is a excerpt regading their "guarantee". According to them, it's a 100% satisfaction guarantee. That just means one thing to me - you take care of my pet and you take care of the expense because your product did not perform the way it is intended to perform. Period. Good luck and keep us posted.
Satisfaction Guarantee
Revolution® (selamectin) is 100% satisfaction guaranteed.
If you are not completely satisfied with Revolution for any reason, the product will be replaced or the purchase price refunded. Guarantee applies to current product purchased from a veterinary hospital only. Ask your veterinarian for details.
If you have questions, call our Revolution Customer Satisfaction Center at 1-888-REVOLUTION, Monday–Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.
The Customer Satisfation Center is also available to answer any questions that you may have about Revolution and the many dangerous parasites that it protects your pet against.

Message: Barbara, please keep us posted. Sounds like there's alot of open ends though where they can say "not my fault." Hope that's not the case! Naturally this is to cover them on MANY avenues.

Message: Nothing, we have heard nothing thus far. They are conspicuous in their silence! I have a preconceived notion on just how they will deal with it, but I am giving them the benefit of the doubt for a minute.... They will probably tell me that they will refund my money for the last order of Revolution. The fact that my Wu is going to suffer, for their lack of care and following through on what they spew that their medicine will do, is going to be at issue for me for a very long time. It really gripes me to the very core, that this is supposed to prevent this, and wham, heart worms! I can not tell you how distraught I am over this....
I really don't expect to hear from them any time soon. I have to keep Wu inside and walk him in the yard to let him do his business. He hates not being out with his *girls*! He just lays by the door and pouts. He is so sweet. I just love this animal dearly.

Message: The vet is putting together all of our pets records to send to Pfizer. Get a load of this! The most they will pay is $500.00 toward treatment.
They would do well to hope that my WuWu makes it through all of this completely intact.

Message: I've done a little research online and what I am reading is that treatment usually cost in the neighborhood of $600. He is strong and healthy and much loved, Barb - he should do fine. Not letting him get too much excercise is going to be key. My mom had to keep her MinPin low key for 6 weeks or so after treatment - can't imagine how she did that. You are constantly in my thoughts and prayers.

Message: Barb,
I went searching the web to see if there are any homeopathic remedies for dogs. Things that help them calm down some, things that help build their immune systems, etc. I found this site and read the questions from readers and the vets approach to doggy health care. I think you should contact her and ask about something the help Wu stay more calm and less likely to run around too much, etc.

It couldn't hurt to check, could it?

Message: I can always count on you guys to help when the chips are down. Moi, the site has some interesting information. and Deb, keeping him inside and in the bed with a fan on him will help to keep him from running the fence..... But when the mail truck comes he goes NUTZ! I know that keeping him calm is imperative.
The vet need him back to draw more blood today. Pfizer had him send it to "their lab or Drs. or what ever" for a second opinion......
I just want him to recover fully... Dr. May said in his 30 years he has only lost one animal to these nasty things. I am so hoping he can make WU better too!
Cheryl, how is Dixie doing in all this heat?....
Moi how about Cory?

Message: she's doing good for a "cold weather dog". when it gets unbearable, for both of us, we head to the bedroom and the A/C. she sleeps with a fan blowing on her until she goes to sleep on her orthopedic bed. for a 12 year old dog with cataracts, failing kidneys, enlarged heart, spinal arthritis, slipped disc and tumor in her stomach, she's not doing too bad! she still has a lot of life left in those old eyes. she has a great appetite and is still excited about life around her. just taking it one day at a time. everyday's a bonus.
