I just went outside to put miracle grow on the garden and had to stop and I'll finish it later tonite when the sun goes down. My dog doesn't even venture far with this heat. Right now she's laying on the deck. Wonder how long that will last. With a black coat it's not conducive at all to heat! I feel so sorry for her. The heat index is way over 100 here. It's only 90 here at 2pm but that's hot enough for me. I'm waiting for the electric company to say we're using too much electricity with all the ACs on. DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know that's coming. |

| cheryl IP: 206.159.161.156 7/17/2006 14:37:51 | RE: HEAT Message: not to say that global warming doesn't have a lot to do with all of our "violent" weather patterns in the last few years or so, but talking to my mom in MS. she remembers a time in the 1950's when weather was this brutally hot and hurricanes were enormous. i believe weather trends are very cyclical, but made worse by our ever increasing worldwide population and reliance on fossil fuels. it's time for another 10 years or more of heat, cold and unpredictable weather, made worse by the depletion of our ozone. |
