Subject: Hol - More on Barielle Manicure Extender
Message: Hol - your other thread is full. I would suggest using one coat of a frost and one of the Barielle Manicure Extender. Or you might even try it over the buffed on Bare Minerals, if you have read the Q boards on that technique. I bought my Barielle at Marshall's (or TJ Maxx) for $3.99! Look there if you have one near you before you consider ordering online.

Message: I go to TJMaxx, HomeGood and Marshalls alot since I'm big into Polish Pottery and they have alot of pieces here and there. I have seen Barielle when I have been looking around. Are you saying the Barielle stuff "extends" your nailpolish? Thanks for the suggestion. What's this with the Bare Minerals? I know they use it as nailpolish. Basically I have thrown out all my colors except a rare few because I'm older now (sigh) and don't have the patience for all that stuff anymore. I'm onto Perscriptives eyeliner and the Bare Escentuals foundation but have no makeup on in this hot weather. Who wants it to slid off your face anyway and those who say Bare Escentuals works in hot weather are full of it! NOTHING works.

Message: If you have any of the Bare Escentuals blushes, shadows or highlighters kicking around, you just take a concealer brush or small eyeshadow brush and buff it on your nails. Or you can wet the minerals and foil them on. Then top it with one polish of your choice. It is a lovely sheer sheen. As I said, I want to try this with the Barielle extender. (Yes, it does seem to make a manicure last longer, chip less.)
You are right about BE not cutting it in Summer too well. I wore the BE Faux Tan facecolor out in the heat recently, wiped a little perspiration from my face and was left with a big ole white spot! And, as you know, touching up with BE in public is for the true BE addicts. My patience for it is shot as well, with the exception of one or two items.

Message: I'm basically homebound for a while with these darn storms but I definitely will check out that Barielle stuff. A tornado(s) touched down in NY yesterday (I'm sure you ladies in the tri-state area are familiar with it) and caused alot of damage there. You never know when you are going to get caught in a downpour so I just stay put and clean my house. I've been running non-stop for a few days anyway so it's a nice break. Tonite I'm going to throw caution to the wind though because I'm going to American Idol and supposedily have great seats. Heat and humidity remains though so the Bare Escentuals stuff is out the window for the time being!

Message: Lynnie, American Idol was at Continental Airlines Arena. They were also there last night so they may be on their way to you. The show was very good but I was disappointed in my seats (floor seating). Never again. When people stood up (which was constantly) you were forced to stand up just to see. My friend and I decided that the first level seating is best. We're in that icky weather too!!!!!!!! While channel surfing I flipped by Access Hollywood and realized the NJ tour made it on tv. Just for about 10 seconds though. I looked around to see the acrylics vs. natural nails and believe it or not I saw alot of natural nails. The natural nails not very well taken care of though. Naturally the women dressed down to the 9s had the acrylics.
