Subject: Happy 4th
Message: It's just another ho-hum day here. Both kids are working so we couldn't go anywhere if we wanted to. My younger son is going to Italy on the 11th and I'm so jealous even though we lived there for a while. I just look forward to going to the shore yearly. College is our vacation now (lol). Back to the hot/humid temperatures today. Guess we'll be firing up the BBQ. Any wonderful plans for anybody else? Have a happy! I'm going to American Idol on the 13th. That's my excitement. Now don't laugh at me but I can't wait!

Message: There are no ho-hum days Hol! Some just not as action packed as others.
This morning was spent as all of my Sunday mornings are spent now. I attended the meetings and feel very enriched for it. I just love the Ministry School on Thursday nights and then Sunday mornings.
This morning Brother Ben Williams discussed the blessing we have in this world, even during this time of trouble and sorrow for so much of the world. The joy of sharing in spreading the good news of the Kingdom and the hope for such a bright future. I am so greatful to have finally discovered the truth that leads to eternal life.

Message: I must say you're right, Barbara, that there are so many things to be thankful for even though I don't stop and smell the roses sometimes. I was talking to Moi the other day about my friends sudden death and that gave me a big reality check. I guess I've been going non-stop for sometime and haven't stopped to smell the aroma of the coffee. My creative juices are flowing today and I'm gonna try to tackle lamb on the BBQ. It's only family if I screw up, right?

We are out in our cook out area getting the grill ready for some burgers and dogs for the grand babies. We just found a wasp nest under one of the burners on the gas grill burner...... Needless to say I ran in here for cover. So I will see if things are all clear outside now.
Anything on the bar-b is so much better than things cooked inside. It just adds so much flavor to have it cooked out..... See ya in a bit....

Message: Thanks, Hol! And a Happy 4th to you too!!
We are doing nothing special, it's just us this weekend so we'll swim and bbq and hide out from the 105 degree temps.
Have safe weekend and remember, Freedom isn't Free.

Message: I think people have a tendency to forget what this holiday means. For that matter most holidays. To them it's just a day off from work. I think where our military is today it kind of gives us something to think about. At least I would hope so. I must admit before I had any association with the military this was just another holiday to me but after having a direct link to the military I surely think of these holidays differently. Wish others would too. As for the BBQ I got raves from the family about the lamb even though I cooked it during a rainstorm. Tomorrow it's just hamburgers and hotdogs. I'm not going to break my back. Those wasps sure must be bold to set up shop under a burner. I'd burn those suckers to kingdom come! They weren't invited to my party anyway.

Message: I agree about people forgetting what the holidays are about... HOLYdays. Annoying as it may be to people, I always sign Happy Holydays.
Regardless of how people feel about our Armed Forces, whether they agree with this war or not, I have so much admiration and respect for these young men and women. They are bold, courageous and selfless and I am so grateful they are out there protecting everyone, even those who disagree with them.
