Subject: RAIN! THANK GOD!
Message: Well we are finally under water! Yea! I mean that sincerely. This storm is being kind to us here in south east Georgia. We had become an absolute dust bowl.... Thankfully, today we are finally receiving much needed relief from this drought! So in a couple of days I expect to go out into the yard to pick blueberries for the morning cereal! YEAAAAAAAAA!

Message: I heard you were in a major drought down there, Barbara. So you're doing the rain dance, huh? That the rain from this storm would be very welcomed then. The storm is gonna pass by NJ about Wednesday nite or maybe it's Tuesday. Not much though. Too far offshore. I guess that's good because from what the weatherforecasters are saying in my neck of the woods it's gonna be bad. Sun, Mon and Tues they are saying 90. Oh joy, oh boy!

Message: Ruth, just simply splashing, and laughing, with thanks for every drop..... My singing leaves a lot to be desired, don't want to do ANYTHING that might run these clouds off! (know what I mean Vern?)
Yeah, Hol the NE has been pretty much our polar opposite with the drought thingy! (technical term, thingy!) I don't think you need any of this do you? It is really cooling things down here too. From 98 this morning to 72 right now! It is absolutely scrumptious!

Message: Congrats on the moisture, Barbara! Hope you and your berries are soaking it up. The temp relief tonight must feel good as well. Up here it is feeling more like Fall, but we might hit 90 this weekend. My shorts and I are ready!

Message: Thanks indeed. Not only did we get a couple of days of on and off again rain - we had a little relief from them sweltering temps. Last night was just beautiful - a light, cool breeze after the rain stopped. Things were beginning to dry up pretty quickly around here, too.
Oh Barb, eat a few of those berries for me. YUM! YUM!

Message: We are still in a drought situation here even though we just had plenty of rain recently, Barbara. We're still in this drought situation because of all the over-developing here. If someone would make the builders stop everything would be fine. You know they are greasing the hands of the local politicians here so forget that. I moved here for the particular reason that the town was so underdeveloped in 1996 but it's getting ridiculous now. Protected farmland is being taken away from farmers because of this imminent domain thing because developers have taken away other land and they have to recoup it someway. Do you wonder why our wildlife are invading our towns? It's because of overdevelopment and who pays? The animals of course with a bullet in their bodies!
