 Subject: Toe nails?Message: Hi everyone.........I'm new here.But...love what Ive read so far. Does anyone know how to care for toe nails that are tender...sore? Do not have fungus just years of abuse...cutting too short.......pointed shoes etc. thanks |

Message: lexi, glad to have you here. sounds like you might have ingrown nails on your toes. they are a result of cutting too short and then as they try and grow out, grow into the side of the toe. i had one, 18 years ago, and i tried to "doctor" it myself and my big toe ended up SO infected. i, of course, ended up at the doctor and the part that was growing into the toe was removed. are all your toes tender? when you say tender, sore-how inflammed? do you still wear "pointy" shoes? i guess it all depends on whether they will continue to grow on out without turning into ingrown nails. we just need a little more background info. |
