I have acrylic nails (and have for years). I somehow broke my nail all the way down to the quick (and then some) and it tore my WHOLE natural nail off! I have NO nail left at all and the area where the nail used to be is red, swollen, pusing, and VERY sensitive to air, water, EVERYTHING. I am in excruciating pain and I am wondering if my nail will ever grow back? Do I need to go to the doctors? What should I do? Please help.

OMG, this happened to me once and the nail did finally come back. I am going through it again from having acrylic nails on (I should have learned my lesson) and my nail isn't completely off yet, it hurts so bad! What should I do? What kind of doctor do you go to for a problem like this? I know that my nail will grow back eventually, but I am in so much pain right now. Can you help me with this?
