Subject: Postage costs
Message: Hi Barbara. Soon I will need to reorder NGF but wondered if there is a less expensive solution to get the product to Australia. The 15 dollars postage is steep for 1 pot. Would the US post office charge less for two pots or is it double the 15 dollars for two? I don't usually order products from OS so not sure how they work it out. :-)

Message: Hi Helen,
If you choose standard international and ordered 20 pots of formula the cost will still be $15.00. I am not trying to make a killing on the shipping. Usually when I send international orders, I ship them Global Priority or Express, depending on the area they are to be shipped to. But I do not charge any more than the standard rate. And generally the costs for shipping to australia reach about $21.00 so I am losing $6.00.....I try very hard to be fair with my shipping and US Post is the least expensive method to this madness.

Message: I didn't doubt for a moment that you were being fair Barbara. I just thought maybe I could figure out some way to get some extra pots over here. Sorry if it sounded like I was complaing about your costs! I really wasn't. I meant the post office charges.. You don't mean you can send 20 pots over for a total $15 postage do you? If that was the case it would be worth me contacting all my friends lol.
Or another option, do you want to stay at my place for a while and set up the Aus arm of the business :-)

Message: Oh, Helen, I did not mean to sound as though I thought you were being anything but inquisitive....
And yes 15, 20, 50, what ever the shipping will remain the same.
About coming to hang out with you for a while!!! Be careful. One of these days I just might jump on that one! I want to visit the black oyster cultivation bed in Perth! I love oysters, both the pearls and the food!

Message: You would be very welcome. I live on a great part of the coast two streets back from a fabulous beach. Must admit I love pearls too. I didn't know there were black oysters in Perth. You don't mean the mussels do you? They get called that by some people. They culivate Western rock oysters at the oyster farm at Emu Point in Western Australia. Thats in Albany. Takes about 5 hours to drive there. You'd love that area. I don't knowwhere else they are cultivated. The main oysters/pearls are up in Broome. Thats where all the historical pearling has been done. Gorgeous place.

Message: I saw a program on the Discovery Channel some few years ago about the pearling industry and they spoke of Perth.... I was fascinated, no just by the black pearls, but the beautiful shore line. I was raised on an island along the east coast, and I long to be back on the water. It is all just part of a longing from old age I suppose. But your home is a most exquisite place, from every coast!

Message: Can I come with Barb too (lol)? Pearls are up my alley too. I find them soooo sophisticated. I'd love to come for a visit too. Naturally since it really is almost an impossibility since it's so far one has the desire to go to any faraway place. You probably think the states are so cool too! I don't think you're whining at all, Helen, about the postage costs to Austrailia. I would do the same. I know Barbara understands. Naturally you want to do it the cheapest way possible and I can't blame you.

Message: Hi Hol
I spent some time in Penang earlier this year and there are a lot of lovely Malaysian pearls there of many colours. I can't believe I didn't buy some! I certainly will next time. They were so much cheaper than the ones in Australia. Different qualities too but then I'm not an expert and I think they all look divine.
As far as ordering again, well my nail clicked the bottom of the pot today so it won't be long! And I will order a few pots I think.
I would also welcome visitors from the US and be happy to show you the best of the place. We are very fortunate to live where we do.

Message: Helen, when my family and I lived in Germany we went on vacation to Majorica. Even though they are well known for "fake" pearls I had to come back with some to remind me of my wonderful vacation. To this day I don't regret that purchase at all. What a lovely memory. As for the postage since you're buying many pots maybe you could put them in the back of your fridge and pop one out when you need it. Just a thought.
