Subject: Lynnie my RM experience
Message: Hey Lynnie I am on day 11 with this and I am seeing a decrease in how oily my skin is...but I am getting tiny bumps everywhere! I can tell a difference in that my skin feels more smooth and is brighter but these bumps are driving me nuts..my face was clear until I started using this products.
Should I stop using the RM or is this a purging stage? I did not want to post this on the QBB because everyone seems to get in an uproar over this subject.
I really like how my skin is using this product but do not care for the small bumps...plus I am going to Florida the 14th and am wondering if I should stop using this and try again when I get back or just pack it up and send it back to Sephora.
Thanks
Lori

Message: Well this is going back....I woke up this morning to 4 white heads....Yuck! I was so hoping this would work because it really helps with oily skin but I just cannot handle the break outs.

Message: Lori, I tried RM for 2 weeks,my skin looked worse everyday. Stopped using it 2 days ago went back to some green cream but mostly Dr D products. Honestly my skin looks better this morning, almost "pre RM" days. Hope this will be true for you too! I never did like going to bed with this stuff on my skin,ya know, like my face was dirty etc. Good Luck

Message: What is RM? I'm sure as soon as someone says what it is I will have a V8 moment, but for now I have no idea!

Message: i think it's Rare Minerals, ruth, not for sure though. a bare essentuals overnight treatment. sounds like you put make-up like, powder on, and then sleep in it. i have enough grand canyon pores and break-outs, i would be a little miffed, too, if i woke up to more break-outs! i don't know all the abbreviations either. when i see one and i finally figure out what it means, i get so excited! which means i probably don't have a lot of excitement going on right now, if that's all it takes!!! i'm still looking for a miracle cleanser to dry up the oil and stop the pimples.

Message: Cheryl,
Meg was having all kinds of problems with her skin again and she just will not stick to the ProActive routine which was the ONE thing that really worked. Well, with the 100+ temps we're having here, we go in the pool every day and guess what? Her face is clearing up. Must be the chlorinated water, that's all we can think.
Skin is so weird. One day you're great the next you look like a cross between a strawberry and a pepperoni pizza. It's very frustrating for her but she's 15 and doesn't care enough to be willing to invest the time. My concern is that down the road she will have scars and really regret not doing something about it now. Anyway... swimming is working for her for now so we will just be grateful!

Message: ruth,
i don't get many blemishes now, just one at a time, but they are whoppers when they do appear. almost looks like a hormonal problem at times. on one hand, i'm really grateful for all this oil, but i wouldn't mind if there were a little less! i grew up with a pool, in mississippi, and always had clear skin in the summer too. my two sister-in-laws, that live close by, have very, very dry skin. almost looks painful in the wintertime and they have a lot of wrinkles for being the young age they are, so i reckon there's always two sides to the coin! my brother-in-law lives in phoenix and has for 20 years and is complaining about the heat coming so early this year. we have had a spectacular spring up here-pretty rare! we usually jump from snow right into cutting grass! i hope you are well and feeling good.

Message: I've been using the proactive stuff because of adult acne. I've realized that the "repairing lotion" is the workhorse of that line and just that treatment works fine. I don't have to buy the rest of the line. I'm using Rodan and Fields reverse line for age spots and honestly I'm not impressed because I've been using it for so long and haven't seen the fading I think I should. The price doesn't strike my fancy either. I found out that Dr. Denese is coming out with something for age spots but wants to make sure she have the right formula before she premieres it so keep your eyes open.

Message: Hey sorry I should have put the RareMinerals instead of RM....Moi it is the new night treatment that Bare Escentuals has come out with.Alot of women on the QBB say that it is working great for them and their skin looks great, some are saying it is drying the skin out,and some are saying that they are having acne from it.
Margo I have to admit that I love that it decreased the oily mess on my skin...I am talking oil slick here!My face looked really great at first and now I am seeing acne...if I did not have the acne I would stick with this...but I am hoping that my skin will clear up soon.
Hol I just started using my Proactiv again today to try and clear my face up.
I think Lynnie stopped using it also because it was drying her skin out.

Message: I've heard about the Proactive drying out the skin. My son said that that's why he doesn't use it. Actually I wish he would. I guess I would say I have dry skin that especially gets very dry during the cold winter months but I use tons of serums/moisturizers so I guess that somewhat counteracts the dryness. I use to have oily skin in my younger years. Guess the "T" zone (never an oil slick, thank god) but now since the hormones are going every which way my skin has now become fairly dry. I'm really looking forward to that Dr. Denese stuff for age spots!

Message: You know, me being the beauty junkie and all - I had to try the RM. I bought it, but waited for a bit before I used it. I've read the reviews over and over on the QBB. Cheryl, I too have extremely oily skin and was encouraged by those that said it seemed to help and at the same time was discouraged by those that talked of the drying effects. So, I alternate nights with RM and my regular beauty routine. I am on week 3 and so far so good. I am not prone to acne and haven't had any breakouts. I do see a decrease in the oil and pores that appear to be smaller!!! I will stick with this jar and then decide if I need to reorder or not. A lot say that one jar lasts a long time with daily use, so I should be set for a while with using every other night.
