Subject: Yellow nails
Message: I have an unusual problem that 4 different doctors have not been able to disgnose. I was wondering if anyone can shed some light on cause / treatment... My 2 big toenails are yellow. It is only the big toenails - no others are affected. It has been like this for over 5 years. Doctors have run tests and have determined that it is NOT fungus. Nor is it being caused by nailpolish as I haven't worn any in years. Has anyone ever heard of this problem?

Message: What type of doctors are you seeing?
Go to a dermatologist.
And if it is not a fungus, did they check to see if it is bacterial?
What kind of shoes do you wear?
Is there any dye in the leather? Or socks? or what ever comes in contact with the nail? Are the nails thick? I mean more so the normal!
We are not health care professionals so only a DR. can advise you about causes and cures, so your answers are best sought from a dermatologist....

Message: Your nails sound exactly the same as my mothers. It started with her big toes, and over the past 10 years has spread to all her toes. The specialist she has gone to see said it has to do with how poor the circulation is in her feet (she also has pain on the bottoms of her feet) and that she is a heavy smoker which contributes to the poor circulation.
She's tried all kinds of meds for the circulation but nothing has helped and her toe nails just get thicker and worse looking all the time.

Message: Andrew Lessman's Circulation and Vein Support is a great product. I used to take it all the time when I worked in retail and was on my feet/legs all day long. Now that I have an office job - I find it even more important. It is one of those "never be without" products for me.

Message: Hi Deb!!! How are you doing??
Are you suggesting that the AL might help my mom? I saw him on HSN with this product and thought about getting it for her for Mothers Day, but when I talked to her about it she said she felt funny taking something that didn't come from a Dr. I was tempted to ask her at what point the Dr. prescribed smoking. :(
I hope you're feeling better everyday - it will take time - but you know where and who to go to for strength.

Message: Hi Ladies!! Ruth, I feel your pain. My mom and I argued about her smoking until the day she took her last breath. I know that the Circulation & Vein Support helps me. It is one of the products of his that I constantly reorder. It's also one of those products that I couldn't feel/see a difference, until I decided to stop taking it. I thought I was on the verge of having to go on medication for Restless Leg Syndrome. I evaluated what I was doing/not doing differently. I added this supplement back into my daily regimen and it has helped a great deal. It is a difficult task to try to undo all the damage that smoking does to our loved ones. I wish you luck with finding the right solution for your Mom. Thanks for keeping in touch. Debra

Message: Hi Barb, she is doing well - thank for asking. I try to poke my nose in and read every now and then, even if I don't find the time to post. I think of you all often and know that I should do better at keeping in touch. I know that "life" tends to get in the way and that we all have our own little issues. It's good to know that there is a place I can go and pick up right where I left off.
