 Subject: Need Help from BE Ladies!Message: I am wondering if any of you are using the RareMinerals and if it is working for you. I do not use BE but use to...tried it a year ago and loved the concept of it being so light and not feeling like wearing a mask.But I had to stop using it because it made my face break out,more oily,and itch when I would get hot or sweat. I have very oily/acne prone skin and have to be really careful of what I use...I was really so sad when BE did not work for me and am still searching for the right foundation.....but I am curious about this product and love the idea of wearing it when you sleep. It takes too much effort to try to erase the freckles every morning. So I just throw on a spot of OoO and if I *dress up* on Sunday mornings, I do a bit of Great Lash! Boy am I ever the raving beauty! I don't know the first thing about the RareMinerals, but I would guess that they are very close to the same thing as the BE! But my mouth is no prayer book so hopefully someone with real information will help out here.. |

I think Lynnie is using it...they say you just put this powder on at night and it is suppose to be loaded with all this stuff that helps your skin and ladies are raving about this product from BE...so I am thinking about trying it. When I first heard about this product I thought the idea utterly ridiculous, until I began reading all the reviews from people that were using it. They were saying it controlled oil, shrunk pores, evened out skin tone. And it hasn't disappointed me. I don't use regular BE anymore either. But this is a nighttime treatment that you lightly buff in with a small cosmetic sponge. You've probably read alot of the Q boards. If you broke out from the BE foundation, it is possible you are allergic to bismuth. They use that in many of their products and it is not uncommon for it to bother people. But, when we are talking Rare Minerals, the clear formula does not contain bismuth (the colored shades do). I started out by ordering a 1/4 tsp. sample of the clear from Ebay. Colorful Sprinkles is now selling samples. Seems like alot to pay $8.95 for a such a small amount, but you only need a small amount to buff in and you get about 10 days from a sample, long enough to know whether you want to buy a full size. I went ahead then and ordered the Medium color from Sephora, although I almost think I liked the appearance of the clear better. My skin was luminous at night and through the day - not the greasy type of luminous! Sephora will take and refund a product that isn't working for you back within 60 days. I think QVC is sold out. Also, if you add another $15 worth of any product to that order, you come up to $75 and get free shipping. Like I said before, this is very good for acne proned skin and oil control. My Tzone is oilier these days and I am seeing less enlarged looking pores as a result of the RM. It has some calming, softening properties as well and works really well at clearing up small skin eruptions practically overnight. Give Sephora a call before you consider buying off Ebay! They are wonderfully service oriented. |

Message: Lynnie thanks so much for the info and help.I called Sephora last night and ordered the light...maybe I should change my order to clear?Wow I did not know about the bismuth..I use the BE eyeshadow,clear radiance,eyeliner and blush with no break outs at all but the foundation seemed to be my problem for some reason.I called Sephora and they were really nice and said I have 60 days and if it breaks me out send it back for a refund...also I ordered something else for the free shipping.This was my first time shopping with them and wow the lady was so nice and helpful!She said that she had acne prone skin and used everything of BE except the foundation because it breaks her out...she told me that the RM is helping her oily skin and no problems with breaking out. I just need something for the oil...Lynnie I am talking oil slick here...I keep blotting papers by my bed because when I wake up my eyes and lashes are caked with oil...girl I am talking I could supply a oil change for someone!So after reading the reviews on the QBB I thought this might help and plus I am tired up my hubby seeing my oily face in the morning...poor guy gets to wake up to the Valvoline girl next to him....LOL. So I am just going to go for it....what can it hurt and if I break out then I will use something to clear it up. Thanks for the advice and I am going to try the sponge wedge tip because I have tons of those things and it sounds alot better than the spongs applicator. Lori |

I have a friend who can't eat most nuts because they produce excess oil on her skin. Some fish also encourage oily skin. Do you mind telling me what QVE is please. QVC is a home shopping network that alot of us shop from and they also have a commmunity forum and you can get some good information off the beauty boards there...that is where alot of us found out about the NGF and our wonderful Barbara! Hey Lynnie I calle Sephora back and they said that my order was sent out already and I could send it back...now I asked about the bismuth and she put another lady on the phone that said the Raremineral did not contain that but the foundation does to get the color and coverage ....she said the RM is a treatment and not a foundation.What do you think? |

Thankfully, the girls that have joined in here are level headed and don't seem to be OCD challenged! lol Some of those women will attack and will be relentless if you get on their wrong side. (Just a word of caution from one who has been there and seen the damage they can do!) For the most part, they are very informative, they certainly have a wide range of product knowledge that may be beneficial. Were it not for Dap I would never have found this beautiful bunch of spirited ladies, so for that I am grateful. Cheryl, who has been a customer for some years now, did not come from the Q. In fact she has been my eyes and ears here on the forum when things get really involved. I should put her on the payroll! She is full of no nonsense information. But the girls that have stayed here that came from Q are a God send for me. They have a wealth of information and are most generous about sharing. |
