 Subject: One nail curling underMessage: I've had this problem for years and just kind of lived with it, although it really annoys me. The nail on the index finger on my right hand curls under on the left/front side (closest to my thumb). I guess when I write and drive, etc, I must put my thumb there...I've tried breaking that habit, but it's hard to do. My fiance HATES when my nail gets a little long and curls more (the longer it is, the more it curls under). He makes me cut it off because it bothers him so much. So, I can't grow my nails because he hates that ONE nail. haha I've often wondered if there was a way to straighten it back out, or keep it from curling. It just seems to grow that way at this point, but maybe it wouldn't if I could find a solution. I'm a low-maintenance person. I'm not one to polish my nails every couple of days because I don't like sitting there waiting for them to dry, or going through the trouble of taking the old polish off, etc. Can someone recommend something that I can do and be done quickly? I have a 5 year old, I don't have alot of time for pampering myself. haha Thanks!! |
| cheryl IP: 206.159.161.156 5/19/2006 08:59:16 |  RE: One nail curling underMessage: donna, other than keeping it short, there's nothing else that you can really do about the curling. it could be genetic or it could be just the way that nail grows. other ladies have asked about this problem before, if they could just keep it straight after they get out of the shower or bath would it stay that way and the answer is, once the nail hardens and dries it curls right back under. the easiest and fastest way to look like you have a clear coat on your nails is to buff them. you can go to sally's and purchase a 4-sided buffer. it looks like you have a clear coat on without the polish. keeping your nails hydrated is the key to healthy flexible nails and might even help your "deformed" one-definitely couldn't hurt! go to the home page and read about the Nail Growth Formula. most of us here are dedicated users and have seen amazing results from it. just a one step process. can't get much quicker than that! |
