Subject: Hello Friends!
Message: I've been AWOL a while but wanting to stop in. I was trying not to use the computer quite as much till my health issues (vertigo and neck problems) subsided. Anyway, I'm starting to feel better. General consensus was that the vertigo/imbalance was caused by TMJ that would also set off neck issues as well as migraines. So I'm a real glamour puss when I go to bed at night with my orthopedic pillow and bite guard. Also have a standing appointment with a chiropractor. Oh well, I feel better and that's what counts. No nail complaints and I'm still using my NGF and alternating with polishing in between. It's hard to resist polishing at this time of year. Those white sheers look nice with a bottled tan!
I currently have the Beauty Box and am afraid I need to drop out as well. I'm a user of the Skin Type Solution book and am staying within the recommended products for this sensitive skin of mine. It's really made a difference for me. So, I won't be having much to pass on the future, nor do I tend to try as many products. But it has been great fun and I've enjoyed getting that surprise box. (Thanks, Deb, for that stroke of genius!)
Hope you are all feeling better now that Spring is here. Please update me! Hello's to all the lively new members here as well.

Message: I'm glad you're feeling better, Lynnie, and great to have you back. You just continue to take care of yourself. I guess I should consider myself lucky that I have the minor aches and pains of a woman in her 40s. I had the varicose veins surgery because I'm lucky enough to have it run in my family. So far I'm not pain free at that time of the month but I'm still hoping even though the surgery has been about 7-8 months ago. Now those spider veins stick out like a sore thumb and oh that cellulite! I guess it comes with getting old (lol). I need not even mention that icky word "menopause!"

Message: Hi Hol! Two years ago I had the injections for spider veins. You must have had some of the larger blue veins as well that needed surgery? It's so nice not having those spiders and they were genetic for me as well. I started getting them right after my first child, in my 20's. I'm also doing the "M" word and trying not to complain about that because I think I'll miss my estrogen! Glad to hear you are loving the NGF. Keep up the good work.

Message: Hi Stranger.....
I am glad you are getting some relief. This weather is about as strange as it can get....(well may be not totally) but going from 58 to 92 inside of a 24 hour time span seems a bit *strange* to me.... I just can not tolorate the cold weather since my surgery... I would rather mop sweat than shiver all day!
I guess my Mum and Dad knew what they were doing to raise me as a southern girl! I love that beach sand, not snow between my toes!

Message: Lori - Thanks! My TMJ isn't real severe, thank goodness. But, for me, the clenching at night can set off a migraine, stiff neck, etc. It's a vicious cycle and that's why I eventually ended up with a chiropractor. I also exercise faithfully (bellydance classes and DVD's). It relieve stress and involves alot of stretching exercise. You'd enjoy the Skin Type Solution book. I hear you can pick them up for $12 or so at Cotsco. Plus, Dr. Baumann has a forum attached to her site now and people (including me) go to discuss the recommended products from her book that are or aren't working for them.
Barbara! I am the SAME way about the cold and we have that strange up and down weather here as well. Seems like the older I get, the less I can tolerate it. I'm glad I have never been one for Winter sports. It's funny that hit you after your surgery. It hit me hard when I had that virus last year that set off the rheumatoid symptoms. Although that has all gone away, this past Winter I didn't want to deal with the cold weather any more than I had to. And I had the heating bills to prove it!
