Subject: Nail woes
Message: I had fake nails on for almost a year and just got them removed and my nails are ridiculously weak, I can't even file them because they bend so much. I was just wondering if there are any strategies for strengthening nails that can be done at home. If any one knows please respond.

Message: carly,
go to the home page of this web site and read about the nail growth formula. you can recover them with it. it takes some time, but your nails will be healthy again.

Message: Although I don't have any experience using NGF after taking off acrylics I think I would have to agree with Cheryl that this NGF would be right up your alley, Carly. I'd definitely give it a try. You won't be disappointed. When I took off my acrylics my nails were so thin from the constant "sanding." Wish I had known about this NGF at the time.

Message: Carly - I used the NGF after removing acrylics. At first I tried ProStrong, but that only gave me thin, dry and brittle nails. The NGF keeps them hydrated enough so they don't break and peel as easily at first. Then, it promotes good strong new growth. Like Cheryl said, it takes time to grow a new nail. It's alot like healing a wound - that acrylic damage!

Message: Colleen, I used to bite my nails all the time. Now, they're about four centimeters long and very strong. How'd I do it? Well it depends on your natural strength of nail, but even after years of chewing mine still grew out healthy. I didn't use any products to stop biting (like making them taste bad) but I did try my very best to stop, and after about a month I broke the habit! Habits are hard to break, but I think anyone has the strength mentally to stop. So believe in yourself! And if you feel you can't do it, then put some flaming hot sauce on the ends of your fingers!

Message: It is best to work with replacing the "bad habit" with something that is more productive. A lot of people have used the Natural Nails Growth Formula to replace the biting habit with a rubbing habit. Instead of chewing, they just rub in the Growth formula. That keeps both hands away from the kisser, and it insures the growth of the natural nails.

Message: i once, many years ago, when i was still gnawing on my nails, went to a dermatologist to have a mole removed from my back, and, he, being a "skin doctor", noticed i bit my nails and quite innocently said, if you sit and think about all the people that have touched all the door handles that you go about opening or grabbing everyday and realize just ONE of those people could have warts, e.coli, fungal infection, etc., on their fingers or hands and they just transmitted it via that door knob to you, and you had some way of seeing it, maybe it would make us, as nail biters, think twice about what we're actually putting in our mouths. it still grosses me out thinking about other people not washing their hands after using the bathroom. disgusting.
