Subject: second week ngf
Message: There's definate improvement in the general appearance of my nails now. They look glossier and more hydrated. However 6 nails have broken off low through this week because they are still too thin to support any extension beyond the tip. This is so frustrating and I can see why people give up!. Anyone know of good foods that will help nail growth and I'll try and address this issue with diet as well. Maybe I'm missing a vitamin or something. Any help much appreciated.

Message: helen,i've read alot about what to eat for healty nails and hair, i've come to the conclusion that we would have to eat tons& tons of certain foods for it to be affective, i think it comes down to a balance diet & backed with a good multiple vitamin plus being careful & awear of what we do to our nails ie(opening soda cans, car doors scraping something off a window or countertop, doing dishes w/o gloves etc. i wish there was a magic pill, oh well maybe in our next life.

Message: Helen,
Don't get frustrated. It sometimes takes a bit more effort that we are interested in giving. But you're off to a great start. You already have the formula, it's paid for, don't just quit out of frustration. Two weeks is not a long time, in the grand scheme of things. Just think of the time as *ME* time. Spend the time with a relaxing cup of Mocha, or Peach Tea. Relax, rub, relax, rub. It really will soothe the savage nails. The formula is cumulative so as you use the product the effects will increase over time. We have all been where you are at..... Work through the frustration, don't let it win, don't give in!
If your nails are extremely weak, it will take time and effort. The Mayo Clinic said that things like gelatin don't actually clinically improve the nail, though they can't hurt. Just a good sense, balanced diet and 8, 8oz. glasses of water daily are the best bet. My mantra is *all things in moderation*.... Don't over do anything thinking if it works at all, it will surely work better if I use more, more often! Mistake number one! Enthusiasm is great, but it will sometimes make us over do things. Like too much exercise, after 30 years of inactive! OUCH!!!!!!!!
Just keep up a steady regimen and over time the improvements will become evident. Keep us all informed.

Message: Helen, I'm 2 1/1 weeks and from what Barbara says I still have a long way to go. So then I guess my two broken nails aren't that bad. I do have patience when it comes to my nails because I'm seeing results so I'm nowhere near giving up. I drink at least 6, 8oz. glasses of water each day (Weight Watchers) so I feel I'm covering that aspect pretty well. Anymore I think I'd float away! I take a multi-vitamin, calcium and vitamin C daily so I'm covering more bases. I've been doing that for some time since I'm a woman. As Barbara said, don't give up! I honestly think better things are yet to come (who said that?).
