Subject: eferdent for whitening
Message: I soaked my nails of one hand in eferdent for about 10 minutes one time one day and again the next. I compared this hand to the one i did not soak and I could tell a slight difference. they were a couple of shades lighter and brighter. Following the eferdent soaks i did 2-5 minutes of soakingin peroxide. Do you think the peroxide soak would help whiten or yellow them? Im also curious approximately how many efferdent soaks will whiten nails to the maximum... I dont want to soak them any more than I have to. Ive been using NGF and dont know if its placebo or if i am noticing a difference yet. It probably hasnt quite been a week. What else has anyone tried to whiten nails with and did you notice any difference at all?

Message: m - I've heard of this eferdent thing to clean jewelry. That's all. I can't say I have a need to whiten my nails.

Message: I've done the Efferdent too, but I wonder if it is drying???? Following a soak up with NGF is probably a good idea. Yesterday I dipped one of those nice pointy Q-tips they sell for makeup in lemon juice, as Cheryl has suggested, and that seems effective. I really like that pointed tip to swipe under the tips.
