Message: hi M,I thinkwearing gloves is very important when doing dishes or scrubing sinks, bathrooms & ect. about wearing gloves when washing your hair I think the gloves would fill with water and it would be all for not.good question tho, however, i just thought of something! if your hair is long maybe gloves would work, keeping your nails from getting snag and riping them off. its worth a try if it works for you then its a good thing. let us know

Message: M! Maybe some rubber bands arounds the ends would help! LOL! Just kidding. I don't think that you take showers that are hours long do you? I think we are all getting so paranoid about having our hands in water. I really don't think that water is as damaging as chemicals (i.e. dish soap, cleansers, etc) which is why you would want to wear gloves. I say wear the gloves to garden, do dishes, clean and mop, but don't use them in the shower.

Message: i know its not the water as it is the chemicals in soaps and cleansers...i was thinking of the shampoo and bar soap in the shower. I take it shampoo and shower bar soap are not harsh or drying enough to worry about wearing gloves for? especially if you tend to take 2 showers a day... water does not bother the NGF so i figured if you use soap or shampoo in the shower sometimes twice a day then youd have to possibly use more NGF.

Message: also, take into consideration, the condition of your skin and nails, due to the the hardness of your water. for many years and winters of living in western NY, i scratched and itched my way quite a few winters, and a few other seasons, until i found out how hard my water was. one softener later and life was good and non-drying again. just something to consider.

Message: Holy Moly, m!!!!! Your hands are gorgeous and you have the perfect 10 plus there! Have you been using NGF or just starting?
I use the surgical gloves alot of times if I am applying a hair glaze or self tanners to avoid staining. Why not compromise - shampoo your hair and take the gloves off for the final rinse so you can better feel what you are doing.

Message: m - I'M the idiot that made the mistake about the picture, but I have plead uncaffeinated at 7 a.m.! Cute ring, I agree. Those nails look real, but I wonder if maybe she has silk wraps on them. Aren't wraps more transparent? I don't know as I'd like nails like that because it really has to ruin your day when one of those babies break!

Message: i agree about your day ruining when you break a nail~! Im not sure about them being silk wraps I only know what fake painted acrylic and gels look like.
I think it would be neat if we all post links to pics of our real nails. Ill do that when I find my digicam.
