 Subject: Anybody Want To Share Their Background?Message: Since I'm new I thought this would be helpful to me and alot of other women who seem to frequent this board. Seems we all have alot in common here - NAILS. Briefly, my husband is retired military and we've lived overseas most of the time. Originally I'm from NY but when hubby retired from the Army we planted roots in northwest Jersey. I have two boys (high school and college) so FINALLY I'm taking time for ME. My nails have always been an issue and after all these years it seems I have FINALLY found something. I'm into skincare/makeup and nails. |

Hubby and I were both in the Marine Corps and that's how we met. After 17 years in the USMC, he went to work for Delta Airlines. We currently live near Atlanta. We have three grown children and 5 grandchildren - #6 is due at the end of May. I, too, am a beauty junkie. I have been acrylic free for over 4 years and I have to say, thanks to NGF - my nails and more importantly my cuticles are in the best shape EVER. In fact, I actually fell down the stairs this morning and DIDN'T BREAK NOT ONE NAIL. I have lots of bruises - but no broken nails.....lol |

Message: hol,I,m also new,everyone is really nice and helpful,well,i live in las vegas(Hot&DRY DRY)talk about dry nails.i'm married 31yrs. 5 children,6 g.children. my nails &hair have alwasy been very important,especially my nails,i was a blk jack % roulette dealer for 13yrs in Lake Tahoe befor moving to vegas. i don't wrk now ,i love to knit beautiful sweaters for my granddaughter Raigan,i do cross stitch,&wrk in my back yard,i have 2 yorkies tootsie& missy and i adore them, now if i can my nails to grow everything will be right with the world or at least easier to cope with. |

I live in the SF bay area, have a wonderful husband, a fantasic 4 yr. old daughter Raigan and our dog Maggie who are the loves of my life. If you haven't guessed it already, I'm Cher's daughter! What a great mom! However, she didn't pass on the "good" nail genes! LOL! Just kidding mom! I am an executive assistant in the real estate department for a major staffing firm. At one point I thought I would begin cross stitching as well, but then had my daughter and there hasn't been really any time for that. So our hobbies right now are playing dolls, grocery store, shopping and watching Scooby Doo! My daughter is also into her make-up, she loves her lip glosses......I think she has around 30 tubes! I want to thank everyone for sharing their good and bad experiences with their nails. There is a lot of great information on this forum and I'm addicted to it...it's the first place I come when I get to work.......shhhh don't tell my boss! heee!! heee!! |

Message: You know, debodel, yesterday when I was walking my dog and tripped on the uneven sidewalk (due to roots of trees) and took a major spill. Boy did I feel stupid but I THINK nobody was looking. Put major gouges in my sunglasses which are now history and they'll have to be pitched. Thank god I wasn't wearing my good ones. Actually I thank the lord above for the sunglasses because it protected my eye. I'm sore just like you but the good thing is NO BROKEN NAILS thanks to NGF! |

I'm a single parent in Upstate NY - two adult children and one 13-year-old, so I'm STILL carpooling. Oh, I also have one perfect little pooch and a peachy boyfriend of one year. I've had a jillion different "careers" - office, medical office, computer lab for middle school and teaching assistant, but currently taking a break. I'm also a product junkie, and post in other forums like QVC as "fidget", but one thing that I don't vary in my routine is my NGF! Gotta love the internet for all the knowledge and friendship it has brought to my life, inclusive of the fine ladies here! |

Message: I am 36 and have a 13 yr old son.Was a police dispatcher for 14 years until I remarried 3 years ago and my wonderful hubby let me to quit my job so I can take care of my elderly Mother and my son and not have to work anymore. We both are volunteer firefighters and EMT's here in our small town in TN.My husband is also a paid FF/EMT for a nuclear plant. I am a shoe junkie and I do love to try new beauty products. Lori |
