 Subject: Thin nails that tear and break off easily.Message: I've been massaging NGF into my nails for a little over a week. I enjoy massaging it in while I kick back and watch a show on TV. I'm looking forward to strong long nails. Applying the wax reminds me of the whole process of french polishing furniture and I can see a lovely shine developing on my nails already. I do have a query though. Originally I opted to put on acrylics because my nails were too thin and tore easily therefore they never all looked the same length. If they have always been a bit thin and too flexible will the NGF still work for me? Or could it just be genetics that has programmed me to have thin nails? |

Message: helen, our nails are probably 90% genetic and not much we can do about that. the NGF will help establish a healthy, flexible, hydrated growth. it's not an overnight fix. it takes patience and persistence in finding the time to use it twice a day for the first thirty days. of course you should also not use antibacterial soaps all the time, wear gloves when cleaning with harsh chemicals, and just not use our nails as tools. all common sense suggestions that i know we all don't always follow! with the NGF, when you have flexible, healthy, pink nails and nailbeds, when you do lose one, the re-growth, i've found, is faster. genetics are not a choice we make, but how we treat our nails is. |

Even so I think I am a bit unlucky too because sometimes I only have to bump my hand into a book and I've busted the end off at least one of them! |

Message: Helen - After using NGF for over six months, I have to say the two most significant changes regarding durability are elimiation of peeling and those random breaks you speak of. Whether it is genetic or not, my nails have ALWAYS peeled. I remember them doing that when I was a teen. That NEVER happens to me anymore. If I have any snaggy ends, I just get out that Wonderstone file and it seals them off. I also know what you mean about those breaks. You are going to get in your car, whack you nails on the handle and an edge is just plain gone! Now, I'll do something like that and think, "Oh crud, broken nail for sure", but am pleasantly surprised to see no damage. So, even if this product cannot or doesn't thicken your thin nails, it WILL improve their integrity. |
