Message: If your nails are yellow and you polish them then the issue is probably yellow #3 in the nail polish! NGF will not address any issues regarding the discoloration or staining of the nails. Wish it would but that is not its purpose. Sorry!

Message: Barbara - I know you are the expert and wouldn't want to make any unfounded claims, but I swear the buffing seems to address any yellowing I get between polishing. I think it acts like an exfoliant. Just my personal (good!) experience.

Message: Lynnie,
You make absolute sense as always. I guess that the stain(s) could be just at the surface, and buffing with an abrasive agent would remove that. I was actually thinking of those out there that wear polishes day in and day out and have deep stains. The polishes are generally the culprit there I believe, and the stains usually are well imbedded. So for those polishers that have been at it for a while, it certainly will not hurt anything to try buffing out some of the surface stains. Just don't over do! Moderation in all things.......lol

Message: I've also heard that Efferdent, yep the one for dentures, will remove the stains if you soak your nails in the solution. And, I believe that it was Cherly that said lemon juice would do the same thing. Just be sure to give those nails a good rubbing with NGF afterward to replenish the moisture that "treatments" can sometimes remove.
