Subject: Showers & NGF
Message: This morning I applied the NGF before I took my shower and my nail seemed a bit dry when I finished my shower. I'm guessing this is because I exposed my nails to soap, shampoo and shower gel and it somewhat wore the protection of the NGF off. Can this be possible? My question is should I wait to apply the NGF after I shower? Can some of you more experienced ladies help me as to what your morning routine is?

Message: Hi Hol...I hope you are liking the NGF..this stuff is the best! I have been uisng it since last Sept and cannot believe that my nails are so long, strong, and healthy looking. I am thinking that Barbara said that the water will not effect the NGF...but she is the expert on this and I hope will correct me if I am wrong. I apply my NGF first thing in the morning over my java and then take my shower..I have not had any problems....Hmmm..maybe one of the other ladies here have gone through this.Good luck with the NGF and keep us posted.

Message: Thanks alot Lori! You do exactly what I do. I put the NGF on while drinking my java and then I took my shower a bit later. Maybe since I haven't been using the NGF long I feel dried out. Hopefully somebody else will chime in on this post. Thanks again!

Message: Hey Hol I have been thinking about your post and when I did start using the NGF sometimes after I would wash the dog and do house work my cuticles seemed dry and the skin around the fingernail..I am the worlds worst about not using gloves. I do remeber that I would rub the NGF on my nails and on the skin around it...let it soak in for a few minutes and then wipe it off. I know that sometimes I would use it more than 2x a day when I first started becuase my nails were in just such a terrible state.

Message: Now it all makes sense. This morning I put the NGF on AFTER my shower and my dog was waiting impatiently for her walk.

Message: So far so good if I use the NGF after my shower. Maybe I need to do that for a while (as you say, Sheltie Girl) before the shower because my nails are so dry (I actually didn't think they were but stranger things have happened). After using it only 7x I can honestly say my nails have never been harder with any product like this and my cuticles seem to be coming around. I can see the splitting won't be there either. I think I've finally hit that magic potion. Thanks ladies!

Message: Hey Hol when I first starting using NGF my nails were peeling...if I got any length to them they would just rip off and they were so weak.It did take a couple of weeks but the peeling did stop and I have not had anymore peeling and my nails are so strong! I never thought that I would have long nails that were my own and not acrylic...which I had until 3 yrs ago. This is the magic potion...it is a miracle.Let us know how it is going.

Message: Glad you are seeing good early results, Hol! I did too. Even as a teen and before acrylics, I had nails that were proned to layers peeling off. It amazes me that tendency is gone.
Like the others said, it won't hurt you to apply it more than twice. Say you have already done your major rubbing session, then take a shower and they feel dry, just swipe a quickie coat over. I actually think that might seal in some moisture - not a bad thing at all!

Message: I must admit that after using the NGF only a short period of time my cuticles are noticebly better and peeling just isn't there. If my nail was damaged from before when I started using NGF I just cut it off because the NGF didn't seem to help. No biggie. It's like I have a new set of natural, strong nails and this is only the beginning. My nails are noticable harder too. I'm still putting on the NGF after my shower since I'm at the beginning. Who knows maybe my nail is fine and it's my hands that seem dry and I can't tell the difference. My hands are constantly in water because I bake/cook (my therapy) alot so who knows I might just have to keep up this twice a day. Only time will tell though.

Message: Ya know I often hit my nail on something and I'm so use to looking at my nails to see the damage and since using this NGF there's no damage to be had. Wonderful, huh?
