Subject: New here
Message: Hi. I just found this website and message board today. I've had acrylics in the past, about 3-4 times. Most of the time, I would just get the one application and then instead of a fill I would just soak them off. For whatever reason, two weeks ago I decided to get them again. I caught my hand this morning on the car door handle, and it ripped one off and loosened a couple of others, so I decided to not go that route again. I will be ordering the natural nail growth formula, but in the meantime until it arrives, what, if anything, can I use on my nails now? Even with soaking them off, the natural nails underneath have flaky layers and are filed way down to ugly messes. Before finding this site, I read somewhere to use olive oil. Good idea, or bad? I can't wait to get the formula after reading the good things about it. Thanks for reading this.

Message: Christy,
once you get them healthy, again, after you start using the growth formula, you will not want to cover them up with those nail destroying acrylics. vitamin e oil is the best oil to use right now. any drug store has it.

Message: I'm new here too and my problem is dry cuticles beyong belief. I have only read positive reviews about this NGF and can't wait for my order to come. Seems Barbara is VERY interactive here and also the ladies on this forum are so helpful.

Message: Hol,
We try to answer as many of the questions as possible. Sometimes I am a *bit* slack, but Cheryl, Moi, Lynnie, Dap, Deb Odel, Sheltie Girl, Joy, Jill and all the others are pretty knowledgable about beauty products and they all care! So if we can help at all please feel free to ask.
The formula will work if you use it faithfull for the first 30 days 2Xs daily. That will jump start the process. Then cut back to 1X daily. It has a cumulative effect, so as time goes on you use less to maintain the growth pattern, and keep those cuticles soft and supple.
Keep in touch.

Message: Hol,
there's not too much many of us haven't been through, nail-wise. you will notice it first in your cuticles, then in the overall flexibility and healthiness of your nails. just be patient and persistent in the formula's use and you will get great results.

Message: Just got the NGF yesterday (thanks, Barbara) and in just the two times that I've used it my nails are very hard. Putting my hands in water I noticed the water just beaded off my nails. Due to using a Q product (which dried out my cuticles beyond imagination) and then moving on to N..ltek the damaged cuticles continued. With using the latter product my nails grew wonderfully but at the expense of my cuticles which wasn't worth it. It's too early to tell about the cuticles but then I just started using the product. As you can see I'm one VERY satisfied customer.
