 Subject: Just checking inMessage: Hello ladies - I just wanted to stop in and say "hey"!! I pop over from time to time to read and to catch up on you gals. Today is 6 since since Mom passed away. In some ways, it seems like forever ago and in others - just like yesterday. It has been a busy 6 weeks - with 7 brothers and sisters, I feel like I am always on the phone with someone. And, my Mom's sister passed away last Friday (10th). My cousin was an only child - so, we have all been trying to help her go through this and deal with her loss as well as our own. I know that the Good Lord says that he will not give us more than we can handle and that what does not kill us makes us stronger, but boy - I don't know know how much I can handle. On a brighter note, I am looking forward to digging into that beauty box this weekend - hubby has to work, so it's just me and the box!! Take care - Deb |

I, too, am so sorry to hear about your aunt and that your family is dealing with even more loss at this time. I can relate to your comment about the Good Lord not giving us more than we can handle. I keep thinking that I maxed out on challenges a long time ago and didn't need my current ones to become stronger or learn more lessons. But then again, we can only try to have faith in a greater plan that we don't yet understand. I will be thinking of you and appreciate you checking in when you can. I have a very small fountain/waterfall there, but do not run the waterfall that often. I got the urge to run it, and within moments, a hummingbird stopped by to check it out. I thought of the lovely stories you told us of how your mom loved spring and hummingbirds. I thought of you and her immediately and it brought a smile to my face as I watched the hummingbird enjoy its little oasis of water. Take care, Jill |
