 Subject: Question about nail problemsMessage: Hi there: Today is day 3 of my new venture after receiving the kit. My two biggest problems with my nails are cuticles that grow like weeds and dry up, curl up, split and simply look horrible. I also have severe ridges - mostly involving the thumb nails as well as the big toes of my feet. I have been told this is hereditary (indeed my mom and sisters also have). Will NGF help with these issues? In the meantime, what do I do with the cuticles? I look at my hands and see these thick ugly rims of dried overgrowth around my nail base. They won't go away on their own so I have to trim off the ugly edge. Will NGF stop this hideous problem? Thank you so much for all of your help and support. |

Use the growth formula to rub into the cuticles, and over the full surface of the nails. Concentrate on the matrix area to stimulate cell activity, that is where new growth originates. If you have vitamin e oil, a dab will do. Just rub that in also. Or if you have solar oil on hand. Shea Butter is another alternative to the vitamin e oil. But the growth formula will help tremendously. Buff the surface of the nails with the buffing cream and buffer from the kit. They will not buff out all in one sitting, so don't try that. Gently buff them and over a period of time you will find the ridges lessen. |

My cuticles are pretty bad, but haven't yet gotten my product so I haven't started to use it.....I should have it today.....I hope. I have a few things....I have solar oil and I also have Qtica intense cuticle cream that is made from bees wax. Is one any better than the other to use with NGF? If I do use an intense cuticle oil or cream it will not interfere with the NFG? I assume after a period of time NFG is all I will need. |

The ProStrong ruined them more than you can believe. Not until I used the NGF did I finally get a handle on the cuticle thing. I don't think you'd need to use oil with the NGF because it in itself seems to take care of the cuticles. Maybe Barbara can chime in here and set us both straight. I'm curious too. |

The biggest reason I say to use only the growth formula for the first 30 days, is so that you get a jump start on the cell activity. After the first 30 days you will of course cut back to once daily to establish a healthy growth pattern, and once that pattern is established to your satisfaction, you use the product less often. I only apply the Growth Formula every 10 to 14 days, except when my hands are in chemicals like cleansers and bleach and the like. You can use it as often as you wish, as long as you with. There are no adverse side effects. You can use other oils with the formula if there is something that you enjoy. It really doesn't do any harm to the effects of the formula because it actually works on a cellular level. So just relax and enjoy your new, healthy growth and supple cuticles. |

I use it every time I've done dishes or when I head out the door. Rub it into your cuticles as well. Glysomed is so emollient and excellent and can be found most drugstores. |

It might be all in my head but if I'd put the NGF on BEFORE my shower I would think it would wash it all away. I guess whatever trips my trigger! I just may try this Gylsomed after I exhaust some of my moisturizers. My favorites now are L'Occitanes hand cream and believe it or not Avon's Moisture Therapy and Avon's Silicone Gloves. At $4 you can't go wrong and I think it works. |
