Subject: Easy Sticky Buns
Message: I got this off the internet the other night when my daughter was looking for something quick to make for a desert. I think this is more intended for breakfast, but it's really good and really easy. If anyone is having an Easter brunch or breakfast, I would highly recommend this.
The Swan House Sticky Buns
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 Tablespoons water
2 (10 ounce) cans Hungry Jack Refrigerated Flaky Biscuits - 10 biscuits per can
In a small saucepan, melt margarine. Coat bottom and sides of a bundt cake pan with 2 tablespoons of the melted margarine. Sprinkle 1/2 of the nuts over bottom of prepared pan. Add remaining nuts, brown sugar and water to remaining margarine; heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
Separate dough into 20 biscuits; cut each biscuit in half and shape into a ball. Place 20 dough balls evenly in bottom of prepared pan. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over dough. Repeat process.
In a preheated 375 degree oven, bake for 25 minutes. When done, invert immediately by placing a piece of waxed paper over the cake, placing a dinner size plate over the waxed paper, and carefully turning it over.
Reheat individual portions/servings in the microwave on high for about 10 seconds.

Message: Cool! I'll bet even I could do this one! ~~~~~~~~~~~lol~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks Moi.
Oh just a cute side note.... When Faith was little she called those canned biscuits wham whams, because of the way I cracked the things open on the corner of the kitchen counter!

Message: Hmmm..I don't think these sticky buns are on my diet....but they do sound yummy.
Moi...I have made the chicken and rice dish with brown basmati rice several times, and it is just as yummy as the white rice!
Have a great day!

Message: Denise,
I was just thinking about you last night and wondering how you're doing! It's good to know you're still alive, kickin', and cookin'!
We're planning to make the chicken and rice dish again soon, so I will probably try the brown rice. It's better for you, right?

Message: Oh Yeh..brown rice is way better for you...it does take some getting use to. The chicken and rice dish is perfect for it..because it is absorbing the soup and that gives it the flavor.
I've been quiet lately...been busy working and stuff...I do check the boards everyday to monitor you gals......so always remember Big Brother is watching!
Off to work as usual....Have a good one!

Message: Moi! Thanks! I used to have this recipe kicking around somewhere and haven't made it in a long time. We love sticky buns and monkey bread right out of the oven. Of course, there are usually no leftovers!

Message: Sounds really good. Here is an easy one that I just made:
Cream Cheese Danish
2 cans Pillsbury Cresent Rolls
2 8 oz blocks of creams cheese
1 stick butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 T cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 13x9x2 baking dish with a non-stick spray. Unroll one can of the cresent rolls and lay in the bottom of the pan. In a bowl, mix the 2 blocks of cream cheese with one cup of sugar until smooth. Spread this mixture on top of the cresent roll. Unroll the other can of cresent rolls and place on top of the cream cheese mixture. Mix together in a small bowl the remaining sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this on top of the cresent roll. Cut up the stick of butter and place tabs on top of the cinnamon and sugar. Bake for 30-40 minutes.

Message: That one sounds really good too, and with the cream cheese MIGHT be providing extra nutrition. Now, if we could only find something similar that includes chocolate, that would round off the food pyramid and we could feel good about eating it ;)
