Subject: o/t Beauty Junkies? Dr Denese?
Message: I'm a newbie at looking after my face! That is to say, beyond my old routine of Olay face wash followed by spf 15 Olay lotion and I was good to go.
I'm trying out the Dr Denese system 'cause all of a sudden I've got someone else's "character" etched on to my face! LOL
The Dr's day cream . . . I can't judge how much to use. If I go real lightly I figure no way I'm getting SPF30 out of it, but if I put more on the tint seems too visible. What I tried today was a dollop of the day cream "loosened up" with 1 drop of the Hydroshield Face Serum. It went on a little more smoothly.
You gals that are using the day cream; do you apply it with your fingertips, or a makeup sponge? Any help would be appreciated!
I'm using the dregs of the FFP on my cuticles; fingers and toes (!), an excellent tip from one of you ladies! Thanks.

Message: Lark - I am a relatively new Dr. D convert and love her products. Don't underestimate that day cream, thinking you are going too light. It has zinc oxide in it and that is the ingredient that really goes a long way towards protection. I also put mine on over the Hydroshield for the smoothest results and do so with my fingertips. If you have ever noticed on QVC, there is a poster named Anima who has ALL the answers. She and another gal have an impressive and thorough bulletin board at Delphi Forums with every tip under the sun. I took a look at it last night and it can be overwhelming, but I'll going back! Just search at www.delphiforums.com for Dr. Denese.
Isn't it amazing what those FFP pads do, even the "dregs"? When I use that on hands, cuticles and heels I see dramatic results. That on the heels and hands followed by the Glysomed is the best beauty bargain out there. My heels haven't felt like this since was 10!

Message: Thanks Lynnie! I'll check that out at delphi.
I have never understood the principle of sunscreen. I do know that even the spf 15 that I used for years has saved me from a lot of the dreaded "character"!
This whole system, so far I'm finding, is leaving my face nice and smooth! I haven't seen any reduction in the wrinkys that are already here in residence but hopefully the population won't boom either! LOL
You're comment the other day, other forum, about that step 2 cream? PU!!PU!!
Thank heavens it dissipates quickly!! :^ )

Message: Lark - You were smarter than I. I was a sunworshipper! Not a heavy duty one, but I tan easily. This past Summer I ended with a couple of those larger sun spots. They are finally fading and I know they could back full force in a day. So, I'm planning that Dr. D Daycream with the 30 SPF and a bronzer will be my daily routine this Summer! I'll surely know if it isn't working.
That was one amazing TSV. You get the full sizes of her best staple products. You are probably going to see some results from the Triple Strength Eye Cream. Like you, I was amazed that my skin felt so good even after a few days. I also like the Restoreyes cream. And, if you get really hooked, she has some serums that are real treats! I have a Line Erase Serum (much the same as Wrinkless) to use on crow's feet and smile lines. This one is pretty impressive.
Whenever I want to try a new product and I don't want some huge size or kit from the Q, I hit up Ebay. I always check out sizes and price first on Q for my gauge. Usually, you can expect to play close to half on Ebay and many stores there stock Dr. D.
So, you smell that weird smell from the Wrinkle Filler Step 2? lol I'm glad those two products aren't therapeutic. They are more about temporary smoothness, not a big priority in my routine.

Too soon old. Too late smart! Baked to a toasted, roasted brown every chance I had until my better sense kicked in at 30. I'm very lucky that I'm not in far worse shape than I am.
It has never occurred to me to get this kind of stuff on Ebay! I mess around there for jewelry and have, so far, only had good deals and good fun. For sure I'll check out some of the beauty sellers!
As much as it irks me to support QVC the TSV was a ton of product at a reasonable price. I went right off for AD and they have NEVER sold me on that in 16 years!

Message: I read a bit a QVC last night. I've been using waaaaay too much of the day cream, I think! I think that jar will be more than a 60 day supply, once I get onto this. I'm becoming even more impressed with the value! =^ )

Message: Lark - always read Anima's advice on QVC. She knows her stuff. I'm glad you found the best balance with the Day Cream. I love that. You know, Bare Escentuals claims a 15 SPF, but I got tanned/burnt through it last year. Plus, I have read in skin books you need at least a 30 on your face if you want to avoid freckles and age spots.
Hey, that was MY first AD as well. I'm going to go into my settings eventually and adjust it to come maybe every 90 days instead. I hear you can do that. Right?

I don't know! But I'll sure check it out. It seems like the kit is going to last that long and I don't have the space in my house to start stockpiling. At 60 days the duplicates will quickly become triplets, then quads . . . . especially sitting in a quiet dark cupboard! lol
